Despite this being the second track off the album "Cosmic Overdrive," it was the first to be recorded. It was also my first serious song that I ever recorded and posted.

Radial Revolutions

This is the third track off the "Cosmic Overdrive" album. Having just come down from the high of recording, posting, and gaining followers/listens from my first recorded song "Radial Revolutions," I rushed to get a new song created. Admittedly, it was rushed which is why the song is slightly repetitious in nature. However, I think in the grand scheme of the album it fits nicely as a transition piece and it marks my progress as a musician, composer, and sound engineer.

Interstellar Freeway

This is the fourth song off my "Cosmic Overdrive" record. Originally, it was recorded as a fun and groovy little song I made up in an afternoon. The original recording was titled "Sunset Meadow" and had animal noises in the mix to make the viewer feel like they were on a farm. When I realized how stupid that was, I found that it fit better (tonally) in this album. So, I got rid of the animal SFX and revised the title. This is one of my favorite songs I've made because of the three different segments that are vastly different from one another yet blended very nicely I think. It also is a big improvement in terms of mixing over the previous songs.

Space Funk

This is the tenth track on the "Cosmic Overdrive" album. Coming out of a one year hiatus, I now had a microphone set up and was looking forward to recording something acoustic. And while I originally didn't think an acoustic piece would fit in the album from a tonal perspective, I think it's placement in the overall conceptual idea of the album is very good.

Remembering Home

This is the ninth track on "Cosmic Overdrive." I think of it as the lead into the finale. Interestingly, the opening acoustic chords were inspired by David Bowie's "Space Oddity." I decided to add synth horns as well to fill out the sound a little, too.

Abort Mission

Despite "Initiation" being the first track on the album, it was recorded second, right after "Radial Revolutions" in 2021. The shorter nature of this song, combined with the heavy use of sound effects, is reflective of Pink Floyd's opening of Dark Side of the Moon. This was intentional as I have a deep love for that album and wanted to pay homage in a way.

Initiation

The fifth track on "Cosmic Overdrive." The two chord progression of Em and F# was inspired by Finger Eleven's "Paralyzer," a song that I remember very fondly from the 2000s.  Meanwhile, the bassline (while not intending to be) is very Latin flavored and is one of my favorites, alongside my bassline in "Space Funk."

Astrological Intelligence

The sixth track on "Cosmic Overdrive." This song and "Astrological Intelligence" were recorded within days of each other unlike many of the other songs.

First Contact

The seventh track on "Cosmic Overdrive." It is also the second shortest song on the album as I backed myself into a corner while making it. You'll notice the song ends with a drum fill as it was originally intended to have more to it. I decided instead to make the proceeding song continue right where it left off to give it a nice bleeding affect.

Something's Wrong

The eighth track on "Cosmic Overdrive." The song was originally written with lyrics in mind, but with no one to sing it I decided to revise it slightly to fit the album as best I could. I was very happy with how it turned out and was eager to share it, which is why I didn't place it on a backburner until I found someone to do vocals.

Conflict Resolution

The eleventh and final track of "Cosmic Overdrive."

The first track/album opener for the album "Deities of the Forest." The recoding process and idea for the album began only one day after publishing my debut album "Cosmic Overdrive." Coincidentally, this was also the first song I recorded using a mandolin and I was very pleased with how it came out.

This is the sixth track on the "Deities of the Forest Album." Having just bought a brand new telecaster (and my first) I wanted to fully utilize it which is why there are two solos on this song. The title (unrelated) came from my brother when he first heard it.
