Maksim Dark, the Russian producer who burst into people’s consciousness in 2011, drops the first single from his new album 'Insomnia'. Loud Rave encapsulates the album's vibe perfectly - tough, precise techno that hits hard but always has enough space and grace to work the mind as much as the feet. The original is a masterclass in tight programming of tension and release.
The EP features two perfectly pitched remixes from Senso Sounds favourites André Winter and Carlo Ruetz. André Winter’s remix is urgent and tightly wound, with a sick bass line that ultimately breaks into an acidic freakout. Ruetz’s mix is a more stripped down, low slung groove that builds into a fierce, twisted, peak-time burner.

Frequent Flyer contains a superb combination of bustling beats and vibrating synths. Starting at a slow pace, but this track forms its body along the way. Juicy!

Perfect Landing is quite driving in the beats department. Rolling grove, heavy on the bass ... uptempo classy stuff!

Seismal D's name should be familiar to anyone paying attention to peak-time techno over the last few years. With releases on labels like Tronic, Mau5trap, Filth On Acid, and Riot, the Italian producer is one of the most exciting names in the genre. Now we are thrilled to invite him to the Yoshitoshi family with his debut EP for the label, Arcadia, featuring one of Yoshitoshi's mainstay artists, Khainz, on remix duty. The title track is a gorgeous and thrilling journey filled with massive synth swells and dancing melodies, while Esperantia is deeper, delving into dark and hypnotic techno. In typical Khainz fashion, his remix takes the energy up a notch, interspersing Seismal D's synth work with dark stabs over a pulsating groove.
