03 Telecasting

My good friend/brother-in-law introduced me to BT several years ago.  This was the song that made me fall in love with his music, and am grateful for an opportunity to remix such a beautiful song.
I started this project on June 1st and I really didn't have any idea how I would make my remix unique.  As I am a drummer at heart I really wanted to lay down drums and percussion but things changed.  While importing the stems and establishing a song format, I found that the other instruments used had such beauty.  I felt the need to forgo the drums. From that point on my vision was to mix an acoustic version to really let the other instruments and vocals shine through.  I added a couple of (hopefully tasteful synth embellishments) to fill it in a little more and bring my naked remix to life and give it a futuristic spacey feel..    I have roughly 20-30 hours into this project and I could easily put in 20 more.  I just don’t know how to tame my obsession of perfection.   It almost seems impossible for me to be satisfied, but I believe I am close.  My hope is that BT listens to this remix and likes it…..even just a little.  That would make my life.
I used all 12 stems that BT posted on his Soundcloud and imported them into my Roland 2400 mixer (old school) and put the stems together kind of like a musical puzzle.
I added some Korg synth sounds, along with some ambient background noise from Yamaha Motif
The vocal reverbs are automated by hand are very saturated to let the tone linger in the space. 
I really hope you all enjoy and please note that I take absolutely no credit in writing this beautiful piece.  All I did was arrange the stems,  add few synth effects, and remix the volumes.  Hope you  Enjoy!

Every Other Way - BT and Jes (Acoustic Remix)

My second attempt at paying tribute to one of my favorite songs of the new album. I extended the outro and tried to build some tension. 

Used original tracks and added; beat, violins, guitars, bongos, brass and synth sounds. This remix also features some electric guitar by my good friend and talented musician Justin Juley.  Hope you enjoy.
