Hidden Forest Podcast Episode 1, originally released on July 30, 2012, marks the beginning of what would become a defining series in the Melbourne underground scene. Hidden Forest wasn’t just a podcast — it was a movement. The series was originally hosted by the now-closed Hidden Forest nightclub, a staple of the Melbourne underground. Though the club is gone, its legacy still pulses through mixes like this.

At the time, the local scene was still deeply underground — fuelled by word-of-mouth, dimly lit clubs, and a close-knit group of artists and ravers who lived for the sound. This series captured the early pulse of what would become a cultural movement across Melbourne and beyond.

A heavy versus set from two proper old-school Melbourne names:
