I was looking for an interesting remix of "I Put a Spell On You" and stumbled across the stems for Nina's version of it. What I love most about her interpretation is how chaotic and uncontrolled, and yet totally hypnotic it is. It left me remembering the late-night (early-morning) moments in smokey basement clubs, and how simple it was to get lost in the sound. I hope I've managed to marry those two together well :)

This particular remix has been on my mind for several months now, especially given the message of the lyrics, and the voice by whom they are sung. This remix is another downtempo, groove-y one driven by a live breakbeat and a deep low-end kick and bass. I also wanted to add to the non-binary voice and make the singer seem both singular and plural at times. It's an atmospheric, dream-y take on a track that's already been a hit for 15 years.

This was a project that sat partially finished on my computer for a long time. It is based around a single-take of a bassline written with my Moog Mother-32; the longer it sat, the more it ate away at my brain until I finally felt like I could work out how to finish it. It's deep, smooth, and thoughtful.

I've always loved the atmospheric, undefinable quality of David Bowie's voice, and this particular track is a perfect example of how mystical he can be. I thought maybe if I let the track lay back and feel a little more space-y, that something interesting might happen. It's a groove-y, almost funky deep house track that really builds nicely towards the end. Enjoy!

The kick never just sits on the grid – it ducks, leans, and sidesteps while the low-mid percussion does the heavy lifting, threading tiny syncopations through every bar. It’s designed for that moment when the floor is locked in and ready to sweat together: no frills, just groove, tension, and release.
