Professor Paul Mealor, described by the New York Times as 'one of the most important composers to have emerged in Welsh choral music since William Mathias', delivered this year's keynote speech. Mealor's motets, songs and cycles have been performed, broadcast and recorded by artists around the world. His motet, 'Ubi Caritas', was premiered at the Royal Wedding in 2011, and in November 2011 he composed 'Wherever You Are' as part of the BBC Two television series 'The Choir: Military Wives'.
