Former X Factor contestant Gamu gained exposure on X Factor UK in Season 10. Although she didn’t get far in the series, her voice and cherubic smile stole the hearts of fans of the show. When she got home, people were camping outside her flat, sending her flowers, letters and recording contracts. Fans even sent death threats to some of the Judges over it. So when Gamu set out to record her first album she "wanted to make something timeless, classic and classy – like a Chanel suit." Mixing 1960’s inspiration, with mainstream pop and R&B she creates a sound dubbed Nu-Vintage. The first single from her album is the vibrant party anthem “Shake The Room.”
