Bei seinem Debütauftritt vor kurzem im Berliner Watergate verzauberte uns Tony Casanova mit seinem Set, lies uns trotz schon längst schmerzender Beine, stundenlang immer weiter tanzen und spielte dabei ein grandiosen Track nach dem Anderen. Hinsetzten war nicht möglich. Er bewies das Gespür im richtigen Moment den richtigen Track zu wählen, um bei allen Anwesenden Gänsehaut am ganzen Körper zu erzeugen. Mehr als Grund genug den Berliner, der am Freitag zusammen mit Kollege Joshua Jesse unter dem Alias Worst Case eine EP auf Stil Vor Talent veröffentlichte, um einen Podcast zu bitten.

Für Jeden Tag ein Set hat Tony Casanova nun sein erstes Liveset aufgenommen, in dem er nur seine eigenen Tracks live performt. Wir sind abermals begeistert von seiner Musik und vermuten, dass der talentierte Berliner schon bald bei den ganz Großen mitspielen wird. Viel Spaß mit Tony Casanova!

During the recording we used some gear in our studio like a moog, a microkorg, a guitar, a rohdes piano and some drum saples via maschine to overdub it.

Spring is coming and BONDI is ready for it with a new free release.
With the track “ Lose Yourself “ the two guys are moving back to the roots of their passion for music and processing the original track from Eminem in their own independent electronic version. The remarkable voice from Alex the reinterpretation of the vocals and the driving beat are building a bridge from Hip Hop to Berlin Clubsound with a potential to be a ear worm. The Berlin producer and Dj @danieljaegermusic from the label @criminalbassline was a part of this musical adventure this time and helped BONDI as a co-prodcuer.

"Moodfamily’s favourite four-piece returns home after many journeys.
Impatient, as we are, we had to hear their stories. Skillfully combining influences, sounds and experiences from east and west, they translated their stories to a new EP, oozing with drama, melancholy and determination.

The EP describes itself as the soundtrack for an adventure to mysterious outskirts around the globe, starting with 'Whale Parade'. This prelude brings you to a hidden land after wandering through forests for many months. Guitar, piano and percussion gently move in and carry you away. By the second track, All Day I Zama, a slow beat dictated by a banket of percussion evolves to a vigorous and groovy track with moaning vocals as the main theme.

In title track Gold Town, you will settle yourself in a covered wagon, heading for dodgy settlements on a misty mountain range, accompanied by a grieving trumpet.

As the wagon slows to a crawl, Ghajar emerges, a downtempo emotion-filled song, where the piano and a scorching synth interchange melodies and tales."

Thanks for all my friends who where there and supported me, thanks to the dear Katercrew who made this a really chill thing and special thanks to Clarissa and Nick who made this happened. 
And most importantly huge thanks to everyone who danced and showed love during the set. 

So here it is, my first Liveset, not prearranged just played completely live and free in different dimension of time, including all the little crooks and hiccups in my voice and finger that come with a actual Liveset.

Exploited’s semi-regular “mini compilation” series continues, with Shir Khan collecting together a highly eclectic quintet of new cuts from the label featuring Nathan Ball & SevenDoors, Radiophobia, Kraak & Smaak, Athlete Whippet and Aklay. 

1. Nathan Ball - Right Place (SevenDoors Rework)

SevenDoors is a producer and DJ from the deep within the depths of the ocean from the abyss where music consist of tonal strings. He calls his style ‘Sound of the Whales’. Sometimes it's dark, sometimes punchy, emotional or seductive. 'Right Place' is a track which was originally written by Nathan Ball and now has been transported to the dancefloor by SevenDoors. The track was premiered in his BBC Afterhours Mix for Pete Tong and finally sees the day of the light. 

2. Radiophobia - If You Ever Change Your Mind

Defined by their unique, experimental sound rather than an excessive fear of radiation, the affliction for which they are named, Radiophobia released their debut release ’Can’t Stop Believing’ on Exploited in late 2015. Inspired by a variety of genres, from minimalist techno to retro acoustic and 70s inspired vocals, the secret project’s offering ’If You Ever Changed Your Mind' is a catchy, melancholic, psychedelic dance tune. 

3. Kraak & Smaak - Hendo

The Hendo track came about after a long period of working on last year’s Juicy Fruit album material. As is often the case, creative juices flow slowly for a while, but then, all of a sudden, there is that spark again. With the upcoming Ibiza season in mind this track rolled out quite quickly, an autonomous club tune that will be available just in time for Summer dj sets all over the globe. What does it sound like? Think the quirky Scandinavian disco sound meets Kraak & Smaak. A staple track for everyone's record bag this Summer.

4. Athlete Whippet - 3am

Athlete Whippet is disks & dance duo formed of Squareglass co-founders Aviram Barath and Robin Paul Braum. Since their debut in September 2016 the Peckhamer’s hazy sun-kissed House found love by DJs worldwide including Scuba, Bicep, Laurent Garnier, Rob da Bank and Tom Ravenscroft as well as support by BBC1 & 6 and XLR8R, Resident Advisor, DJ Mag, Delicieuse Musique and Thump. With a good hand for remixes, the duos releases have come with reworks including Dekmantel’s Awanto 3, Lobster Theremin’s Ross From Friends, Brownswood’s Simbad and Horse Meat Disco founder Severino. A quick start to 2017 has already seen the Whippets release two singles and curate one of the main stages for Peckham Rye Music Festival which they will be sharing with Teki Latex and Ian Pooley.

5. Aklay - Return Order 

There is not much known about Aklay - besides he is living in Berlin studying music production and doing some part time work at a label management company. Originally from the land of Nottingham in the UK. Star Wars and Man United fan. 1 half of the record label CIRCA Records (currently under refurbishment).
