A little taste of what was supposed to be my debut set as DJ Kakdaddy. This was going to take place deep in the the depths of Suwannee Renegade country put on by GrowOp Collective at Hulaween.

Yooo fam welcome to our miniseries where together, we are going to explore the sounds of New England. We've curated a lineup of some of the finest DJs across the northeast to deliver you a diverse look at the area.

Today, hailing from Danbury CT, we present the Apothecary.

Formerly known as Abomnabl, the name Apothecary has steadily been climbing the New England bass scene.

But this rise is no accident. The hard work he's put in is coupled only with his undeniable passion for the music he has dedicated himself to. This is evidenced by the crew he helped found, the Goop Troop Collective. 

Armed with what seems to be an endless supply of hard-hitting originals, this producer/DJ knows how to put on a show, with mixes that are both punchy and dark. 

His music has been described as an "utter abomination that transcends genres and delves into the darkest corners of the mind."
 Those are the vibes that landed The Apothecary a feature on the first WidFam compilation.

Now, coming off an extensive festival season that included spots on Yonderville, Sub•Cul•Ture, Circus of Life, and more, he looks to keep building his momentum straight into 2022.

It's my pleasure to introduce you to Apothecary.

I tried to be a little more varied style wise this year. Letting the tunes roll out a little more in this mix as I did focus on making my songs a little more progressive this year.

REISHIO is an Electronic Music Producer/DJ based out of Denver who focuses on Experimental Bass Music. His unique sound design is a blend of Deep Dubstep, Trap, DNB and Hip Hop curating a diverse aural landscape. 

In both his live sets and studio productions, he sculpts an unparagoned sound haven that guides the listener into a transformational, sonic experience. Combining heavy low end sub with dirty, colossal basses REISHIO laces these intricate fills and textures together producing a dream-like musical experience.

Carter Kemist aka Pacific Numen recently planted his roots in Calgary after living on the East Coast for the greater part of his adult life. One to let his music do the talking, Carter’s knowledge in Dubstep runs deep.

Having closely followed the genre since its inception in the early 2000’s, Carter is an outspoken individual who prides himself in his staggering vinyl collection and of course, his record label, Vinyl Vigilance. Boasting major releases from artists such as Kromestar / Cluekid / K Man / Krytikal / L Nix / Repulsion & nova. Creating Canada's single active (vinyl exclusive) Dubstep record label.

As a deejay, Carter has flexed on many systems including the infamous 40Hz Soundsystem (Toronto.) As well Tsunami Bass (New York.) Opening for the likes of Hatcha, Kahn, Dubamine & Distinct Motive (Toronto / Ottawa.) Joe Nice, Commodo (Calgary). Playing alongside K Man, RDG & Cluekid (Brooklyn, NY.)

Having always been around electronic music, Carter has an ear, and collection that leaves room for all styles. A top advocate of Dubstep / Grime, there is not much that slips under his radar.
