The Closer (Kyiv) resident and Lifeform record shop owner, Andre aka Shakolin - having played for us in London at the end of 2023 - shares a recent home recording for the 18th instalment in the series.

Plaintive speech from Oppenheimer and bleepy techno open the recording with a sense of foreboding for what's about to unravel.

Shakolin meanders his way through dubbed out acid lines and a particularly relevant style of glitchy, minimalist techno. A soft and reflective moment of electro shifts the mix down a gear before proceeding with driving, 4X4 grooves. 

This 75 minute recording comes from a seasoned digger and selector who has rightfully made his way to some of the best underground stages and platforms in the world.

Prolific DJ, lighting designer, producer, record store owner and new label head Pablo Romero graces GROOVE TRACKERS with a very personal mix. Pablo’s roots in New York house music run deep, having been born in Queens and raised in clubs like Cielo and Le Bain alongside NYC legends like Francois K, Louie Vega and Tedd Patterson.

Also a self-proclaimed Salsa Head, Pablo treats us to some of his favorite Latin rhythms alongside House classics from across eras. Tune in to hear Pablo pay tribute to his heroes past and present, as well as to find out what those crazy kids were up to in East Elmhurst back in the day. (Shout out to Astoria Blvd.)
