Ursa Minor is a constellation in the northern hemisphere. It shares the same name as the Big Dipper, because its tail resembles the handle of a spoon: it consists of seven stars in the shape of a car; Four of them form what is the deep part of the car and the other three are the handle of the car. It occupies an area of 255.9° square, in which it contains a total of 39 NGC objects

The best-known element of the Little Dipper is the polar star, called Polaris, which is located approximately in the extension of the Earth’s axis, so that it remains almost fixed in the sky and marks the geographic north pole.

Multilayer is a series of audio concepts by the Dux Sonus Records label, with the participation of our friends, partners, and people who episodically influence the multilayeredness of our consciousness with their presence in our reality.

Dux Sonus Records is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year, and we are glad to present to the community the Multilayer VA vol.2 compilation, which was created in collaboration with our friends, fantastic artists, and the parts of the layers that are making this outcome.

Vortex Count (Bilbao, Spain)

One of the most experimental participants in this compilation. The one who opens this VA with his ‘Bloom’. It's a hard kick, with thoughtful melodies. A horn on top of which walks cyclic synths. The track picks up speed quickly and wants to stay on the hypnotic rails it has already embarked on.
So, let's meet an outstanding artist of our time with a perfect sense of modern techno sound and the head of the 'Polygon Network' record label, Vortex Count.

Samuel L Session (Gothenburg, Sweden)

Samuel has a well-recognized and distinctive sound. Everyone knows many Tribal-Techno compositions and his understanding of classic and modern techno. In his sounds, you can hear a deep respect for the roots of the Detroit Techno sound and dynamic, direct rhythms and synths for large arenas and fast dances. One of his labels, SLS, was relaunched a few years ago after a long pause and continues to provide quality techno music in many styles. We are delighted that Samuel brought his multilayereness to this project and our label with his incredible sound work titled 'Optigan'.
What can we say more? Please enjoy Samuel's work and stay tuned.

mineo kawasaki (Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, Japan)

Based on breathtaking landscapes and at the foot of the ancient Matsuyama Castle, Mineo explores techno patterns with live drums. A unique approach to techno combined with virtuoso drumming brings never-before-heard and Multilayered sound to every piece of music from Mineo. 
The composition entitled  'Done Fret 2' provided by Mineo for this compilation, reminds us that techno music has no limitations in steps, patterns, arrangements, and mood changes. The tracks are smoothly driven by live drums and surprise with his unpredictable changes while remaining direct and pleasant to the ear.
We thank Mineo for his sincere participation in this compilation and approach to this multilayered project.

Andrey will present the second part of the track Multilayer Frequencies, designated number 2. How he saw and heard the audio series is presented here to your attention.
Andrey is the head of 'Dux Sonus Records', who helped the multilayered ones come together and transform it all into Multilayer VA vol, 2.

Staining was inspired by the industry in the area where I live.
 The dyeing industry is thriving, and I like the expressionless look of the liquid flow dyeing machines used in factories, so I reproduced that in techno.

Wall expresses the emotions I feel in life.
 I have had a strong fear of death since I was a child, and it seems to me like a huge wall is closing in on me. 
By leaving my own expression in the world through composition, I am resisting this inescapable wall.

Avedis was created with inspiration from Avedis Zildjian, the world's oldest cymbal manufacturer.
 As a drummer, I try to include unique cymbal phrases in my songs. 
This song uses cymbals in a way that is not usually used in techno.

Calm before the storm was created as a palate cleanser before an intense dance tune.
 I sprinkled in mechanisms that make you dance slowly while feeling the anticipation of the next song.

From the moment I stepped into the club, I was instantly embraced by its electric and welcoming vibe. The venue itself is mind-blowing, and the sound system brought the music to life in a way that was unreal.

What really made the night special was the inclusive, beautiful queer energy throughout the space. It was a true safe haven, where everyone could fully express themselves. Such a cool evening! ❤️

Premiere: Naoki Wanibuchi - Wall [ART21]

Terence Fixmer's music has the remarkable ability to not only set feet in motion on the dance floor but also resonate deeply with the searching soul, all while maintaining a profound musical depth and integrity.
With a career spanning over two decades, he has released numerous albums and EPs on some of the most prestigious techno labels. His remixing talents have extended to tracks from industry giants like Depeche Mode, Yann Tiersen, Sven Väth, Dave Clarke, Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, Indochine, and more.
Terence Fixmer is renowned for the quality of his live performances, gracing renowned clubs and festivals worldwide.

Chapter 1: 1998-2007.
In 1998, Terence established his own label, Planete Rouge. From 1999 to 2007, he gained worldwide recognition with the release of his debut album, "Muscle Machine," under DJ Hell's legendary International Deejay Gigolos imprint. 

In 2002, Fixmer joined forces with Nitzer Ebb's lead singer, Douglas McCarthy, to form Fixmer/McCarthy. Together, they released two full-length albums that pushed the boundaries of Techno EBM to the maximum. The album "Fixmer McCarthy Between the Devil" has earned its place as a revered classic, and the band has become iconic in the Techno EBM scene.Fixmer/McCarthy earned respect in the global scene for their unique way of creating truly pioneering sound fusions by elegantly blending the aggression of Techno Body Music and the sensuality of Electronica.

Chapter 2: 2007-2015
Fixmer continued to expand the horizons of modern techno, releasing albums and EPs under his own name as well as various alter egos. His works found homes on highly respected techno labels such as Electric De Luxe, Prologue, Jealous God, CLR (including the "Depth Charged" album in 2014), Aufnahme + Wiedergabe.

Chapter 3: 2015-2020
Terence Fixmer continued to evolve his sound in 2015. His EP "Aktion Mekanik," was reissued on Ostgut Ton, marking his entry into the Ostgut Ton family—the flagship label of Berlin's Berghain club. He subsequently released various EPs on Ostgut Ton ( Force EP, Devil May Care EP)  and his album "Through the Cortex LP ." in 2017.

Chapter 4: 2020- 
 Terence produced music for Thomas Cohen (formerly singer of Scum) with tracks like "Braid" and "Chain of Love" on Mute Records.Additionally, he signed with the legendary label Mute Records, renowned for its roster of innovative and influential artists. 
In 2022, he released his first album on Mute Records titled "Shifting Signals" .
His music has been used by Fashion brand, such as Prada, Raf Simons, Zegna...
Terence Fixmer's unwavering drive to craft experimental, mind-bending, and relentless sounds continues to transcend the boundaries of the musical mainstream, solidifying his place as a visionary within the techno and electronic music landscape.

The position is that the modern labor system produces a vast number of products that we, as humans, cannot consume in such quantities. If the produce does not find a buyer, they are utilized and has no reason at all. Roughly speaking, we create goods and services for each other, but we ourselves do not need them in such quantities.

The modern individual serves this process at the expense of his physical, mental, and emotional resources.

Does the work in excessive quantities make sense if part of the produced products is not needed by anyone and goes through the process of disposal instead of the rational use of resources, and the pressure stimulated by social systems heavily harms humans?

This pressure, where society and media are also involved, generates many problems for the individual and the human physical body. Labor is one of the primary forms of survival dictated by current social systems and dependent on the main current variables of humans, for example, start capital, family status, and random luck.

Is the riot a way out, can it change anything, or will humanity end up broken?
Will the contemporary labour system fall? Or it will be optimized to save human life and health. We'll see.

BIO

Andrey Detochkin is an electronic music artist. He is specializing in different types of techno music and experiments with deep sound. Originally Andrey comes from Latvia and currently based in Germany. In the late 90s, he began to explore DJing and electronic music production. At that time in Latvia was a powerful wave of music and rave culture. Many raves, open-air, indoor music events, and festivals were happening around the Baltic States. It had a significant influence on Andrey as a musician and inspired his path in techno music.

From 1999 he played DJ sets at various events around the country and experimenting with sounds in his home studio.

In 2010, Andrey began performing under the pseudonym Andrey Detochkin.
In 2012, his unreleased track “Inoculation From Anger” was featured by Dave Clarke on his weekly radio show “White Noise”.
In 2017, American label “Labrynth” releases the first single by Andrey Detochkin – “Ainitium”.

After that, Andrey continued to publish his tracks on various labels.

In 2019, Andrey launched the label “Dux Sonus”. The label focuses on different types of deep and minimalistic techno, electro, and experimental electronic music. Dux Sonus also presents its podcast where various musicians and DJs worldwide share their sound material and DJ sets to contribute to the underground culture.

In 2021 Andrey released his first album “New Horizons”, on Force Inc. Music Works Records.

At the moment, Andrey continuing to write music and participates in various collaborations.
