I was messing around with some piano samples and came up with this little beauty. Very pleased with it. Its hard to be immune to the charm of a piano , no matter how much you hear it . Loved the nuances and the subtlety of this particular sampleset......very authentic i think. Wanted a less is more approach , so I had this all wrapped up in about 6 hours or so.

As you may or may not know, Collective States (formerly Mongo) are very avid sci-fi fans (so much so it drives us f#*king mad to be honest)! So it’s our great pleasure (or pain depending on which side of the fence you sit on) to attach a cheeky nod to the forthcoming Blade Runner sequel. Taking influence from the 1982 original soundtrack, this track has been pricking up the ears of some of the early recipients including John Digweed (who has featured it on his Transitions show several times recently), Sasha, Kolsch and big High Tide Recordings label supporter, James Zabiela.  

It’s been a great summer for Collective States with both their “Krypton and “Planet Mongo” releases charting highly in Beatport whilst picking up support across the spectrum of dance music from the likes of Carl Cox, Hot Since 82, Joris Voorn, Deadmau5, Jamie Jones, Dubfire, Eats Everything, Sasha, John Digweed, Alan Fitzpatrick, Kaiserdisco and James Zabiela to name but a few.  So sit back, crank up your sound system and enjoy this on us while you can……
