Up next is Belfast based artist The Vendetta Suite with a mix spanning his favourite 80s B sides and oddball rhythms. 

Recorded in the lead up to his debut album on forward-thinking Italian based label @hell-yeah Recordings - due for release June 25th; It's a record which spans over 20 years of diverse musical experiments from an artist who has lovingly seamed sounds and experiences together.

Much love went into the project, from the licensing of the artwork from The Ulster Museum to Gary's progression as an artist since working with David Holmes as his in-house studio engineer at Exploding Plastic Inevitable studio.

The soundscape emerged from Daydream Jazz listening events and the electrifying energy of live performances at Daydream Jazz festivals. Although there is currently a transitional period in events, the exchange of ideas and exploration of new sounds continues unabated. Tracks from Misha Panfilov, Jimi Tenor, Roy Ayers, Mosses Yoofee Trio, Greg  Foat, Athletic Progression, Caiza Cubo and other great artists! Nu-Jazz meets Triphop and Psychedelic Soul.

DAYDREAM JAZZ OFF-SEASON MIX

Born out of the vibrant Naples funk and disco underground, The Funkin’ Machine is a five-piece powerhouse blending Mediterranean rhythms with vintage cosmic grooves.

Formed in 2020 by vocalist and keyboardist Andres Balbucea, alongside guitarist Alessio Pignorio, drummer Andrea De Fazio, bassist Roberto Porzio, and percussionist Paolo Bianconcini, the group has deep roots in Italy’s modern funk scene, with ties to acts like Mystic Jungle, Nu Genea, and Parbleu. After debuting on Periodica’s Seri Pegaso label, they’ve now joined the Star Creature family for their upcoming LP.

We’re happy to present the first taste of said project, a 7" single that serves as a teaser to the forthcoming album – an exclusive preview of the A-side: The Funkin' Machine - Nun Trovo Cchiù (Instrumental Mix)
