Another edition of the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is just around the corner, and this year marks its 30th anniversary. As always, Chrom Recordings is ready to celebrate in style with their annual ADE Sampler and a 2-day label showcase happening on Friday and Saturday. Our ADE Chrom Sampler features 10 carefully curated tracks, reflecting the diverse sounds of Progressive House, Indie Dance, and Melodic House & Techno. The Compilation opens with 2 recent Chrom anthems: Horizon, taken from the #100-album by our own label manager Pedro Mercado alongside Karada, followed by our latest single Missing, the iconic 90s classic from Everything But The Girl covered by Yves Eaux feat. Gregory Douglass. The remaining 8 tracks are brand-new and exclusive to this release. Half of them are contributions from trusted Chrom regulars: Fernando Lagreca, DJ Andy de Gage, Paul Sawyer and Daniel Vilchez. The other half is coming from artists who are new to our label: JP Lantieri from France, VUH from Mexico, GELIMA from Thailand and Juwlz from Belgium. We hope you enjoy this years selection! And if youll be in Amsterdam this October for ADE, wed love to see you at our Label Showcase on Friday the 24th and Saturday the 25th. Just like last years, were teaming up with our good friends from Tanzgemeinschaft, with Strange Town Recordings from Canada joining us on Friday. Across two days, well feature 16 international artists performing from 18:00 until 02:00 on both days at The Flying Dutchman (located opposite Amsterdam Central Station). Not much needs to be said about Guy J, who is the perfect choice to proclaim this Centenarian landmark.

'Algorithm' is a stunning musical workout, a lesson in how to create tension, with its subtleties being its crowning glory. The pulsating rhythms create a mystique, matched only by its beautifully layered and carefully crafted harmonious tones and tripped out effects. Understated sounds cascade, creating a powerful soundscape that packs a mighty punch, that all adds wondrously to this magical musical meting pot.

The first remix steps up label heads Hernan Cattaneo and Graziano Raffa, who of course are the ideal candidates to try represent the label sound. Their fine rework utilises the original elements superbly, whilst also adding further drama and energy with its sweeping pads, beautiful chords and dubby overtones. A pacey affair ensues as things intensify elegantly, drawing you in to its striking climatic breakdown. Layer upon layer seem to collectively erupt as we peak to a crowd frenzying occasion thats sure to raise the roof.

If you hadn't been spoiled enough, then the Spanish emperor Henry Saiz is up next, bringing all his usual class to close this package beautifully. Henry's hallmark epic sound is represented in full effect here, as a dramatic and invigorating workout ensues. Locking you in to its groove and then swamping you with a profound lead synth, reminiscent of film scores and conjuring up sci-fi images delivers the powerhouse to be reckoned with. This tale unfurls further as the vivid breakdown delivers another turn its saga.

Coming from Sofia, Bulgaria, Andrez has some serious background as a professional musician - playing the piano at the early age of 3, raving in a rock band as a teenager, then studying Classical and Jazz Piano at The State Academy of Music in Sofia… 

In the year of 1999 he emerged on the electronic music scene and has been producing and djing ever since, with resident nights at notorious Chervilo, Mania and Cacao Beach clubs.

Andrez’s also been playing in front some happy crowds at home and in Greece, Macedonia, Egypt, United States, Turkey, Serbia recently. 

His tracks and remixes under the alias Third Personality are played by world-famous artists like Richie Hawtin, Hernan Cattaneo, Martin Garcia, Jason Jollins, Federico Epis and Facundo Mohrr to mention a few. 

Off the weekends during the last 2 decades Andrez has pretty impressive radio - broadcasting career as a professional presenter, producer and program director. 
His weekly radio show - Andrez LIVE! - features studio mixes and live recordings, brings the best new techno music - selected, mixed and presented by Andrez and is currently the most popular techno broadcast in Bulgaria.
