XPLORE is a bi-monthly show by Andrømeda on @Threadsradio which will be showcasing artists around the world, exposing local talent in selected cities and exploring the diversity of electronic music. 

Born and bred in Spain, Annie Hall started DJing in 2003 and releasing music since 2005 on labels such as Tresor Berlin, Detroit Underground, 20/20 Vision Recordings, Semantica Records, CPU Records, Delsin Records and Natural Selection.  She has a passion for experimenting with new sounds and creating tracks with raw synthesis. Her music is full of intensity and dark brooding twists intertwined with melodies that give them warmth and power. Gaining recognition for her unique expression, Annie Hall has played around the world in places such as Tomorrow Land in Belgium, Detroit Movement Festival and Dommune in Tokyo.

Andrømeda - Sound Of London / Mix & Unleash 021

XPLORE 002 with Andrømeda and special guest Claus Fuss. 

Based in London, Claus Fuss is a classically trained musician, composer and techno producer, who has been developing his own approach to minimal music.  In 2017, his solo debut on Khemia Records “Static Ace” was released on vinyl as a split EP with Broken English Club gaining recognition for its pristine cardio bleeps and rave hypnosis. In 2019, he co-founded the duo Lander, a collaboration between himself and the other half of Years Of Denial, Jerome Tcherneyan. Their critically acclaimed debut EP was released in 2021 on Dutch electronic music label Crème Organization. Claus has also co-created and co-founded the live techno duo OneOneOne in collaboration with DJ Klose One. Described as  'Seven minute techno epics' and 'hard hitting clubbangers' their first release 'A' became something of an underground anthem followed by a second EP released on Dusky’s 17Steps records in 2020. Their most recent EP came out this March on Khemia Records including a video of their live performance released on HATE.

XPLORE 003 with Andrømeda and special guest Jensky.

Jensky started DJing in 2005 and since then has become a regular performer at some of the most recognized clubs and festivals in Poland. He has played alongside household names such as Dax J, Chris Liebing, Psyk, Objekt, Neil Landstrumm and many more. Filip was born with a significant hearing loss, forcing him to wear deaf aids. This inspired him to create a second project under the alias ‘Deaf Can Dance’ focusing on downtempo music. During his DJ career of 17 years, Jensky has explored many genres and has put on many different faces. Throughout his musical journey, he has become renowned and respected for his fascination with various shades of electronic music.

For the 5th edition of Xplore, she has invited a special guest from Amsterdam. Mario Picosso started his DJ career in Malaga and made a name for himself in the techno scene in Barcelona. 

He has become known for his eclectic sound and unique style, which he has adopted after surrounding himself with different styles of electronic music.  Mario is the co-founder of Structured Collective and Donations Project, two non-profit collectives, which aim to promote audiovisual arts through events and record labels.

For the first show of the year 2023, Andrømeda invites an artist from her home city in Poland, Wrocław. 

Vi is a resident of Ciało, member of SLAP collective and host of her own event AURA. She has presented her selections in some of the most important clubs and festivals in Poland, Slovakia and Czech Republic, as well as HÖR and the legendary Tresor in November 2022. 

Xplore 006 features a 30 minute warm up set by Andrømeda followed by a one hour exclusive mix by Vi on Threads Radio.

For the 7th edition of XPLORE, Andrømeda travels further afield, inviting a special guest all the way from Buenos Aires. 

Dokser is a highly respected DJ and producer hailing from Argentina. Passionate about production, he is in a constant search for ways of creating new sounds, releasing on labels like Be As One Imprint , Uncage, Intacto Records and Trax Records in Chicago. Since moving to Barcelona 20 years ago, he has created his own unique style which cannot be placed into a specific category. Not afraid of experimenting and breaking boundaries, he takes audiences on a journey to unthinkable places with his mixes, productions and live acts.🪐

For the 10th edition of Xplore, I had the honour to invite a legend and icon of the techno scene who helped define the sound of rave music in the early 90s. 

C.J. Bolland is a British/Belgian electronic music producer and DJ who helped define the sound of rave music in the early 1990s. Bolland has released numerous albums and EPs and performed at some of the biggest electronic music festivals around the world. With his innovative sound and technical prowess, Bolland remains a highly respected figure in the dance music scene, and continues to influence future generations of producers and DJs.

Andrømeda's 11th edition of Xplore turns its focus to the vibrant scene in one of Europe's northernmost areas. She is delighted to feature a talented DJ and producer from Norway whose music has been a regular feature on her shows. 

Naboklage (which means noise complaint in Norwegian) is a protest against Scandinavian conformity culture, speed limits and genre-jail. Community and freedom is reflected in Naboklage's genrefluid and playful productions re-interpreting the classic elements of the 90s rave scene in a modern style and context. A recording of my show Xplore on @threadsradio featuring a guest from my home city Wrocław in Poland. In its individual artistic path, @Re_silence departs from standard structures and focuses on emotional reactions. The energy of electronic music serves him as a medium to express his own feelings and a tool to manipulate the feelings of others.
The spectrum of moods expressed in his DJ sets ranges from nostalgia and passion to loneliness, melancholy and dizzying groove. Black, white and light in the same pulse, without attachment to one source, are an authentic guide to his own visual art.

On this episode of Xplore, I had the pleasure of recording a B2B with Lega (a.k.a. No Intellectual Property) at Bridge 48 in Barcelona. 

Lega is a multifaceted force in the electronic music scene, with 12 years of experience as an artist, producer, DJ, and event promoter. Over the years, he’s played a pivotal role in shaping Colombia’s underground dance culture, bringing more than 300 artists to the country and organising numerous tours and events. As the founder of The Hindie Corporation, AMB Agency and Raw Quarter label, Lega is a driving force in the global techno scene. With several albums, EPs, and VA’s under his belt, and recent collaborations with Truncate, 2024 is set to be a landmark year in his longstanding career.

Andromeda is a London based artist and a resident of the infamous 24-hour institution, FOLD in London. Heavily influenced by acid, electro and industrial techno, her sets focus on the darker side of the spectrum driven by unrelenting drums, heavy basslines and punishing synths. She has become a regular fixture in the underground techno scene and has established a reputation for annihilating dance floors across the capital. Red Ophis is a resident of MOTZ collective based in Berlin, London, and Ireland, and founder of Synthapise, a nonprofit event for animal rights causes. She is a regular to the London scene with a library that ranges from ethereal infused sonics to pure industrial techno madness, landing her to support acts such as Codex Empire, Dahlia, Axel Picodot, RVDE, Remco Beekwilder, XIK, OAKE and more. Prior to this recently established alias her vocals also featured on End Train’s “The Day I Didn’t Want to Wake Up” which was released on Code Is Law.
