Original score for Tusk Machinima, with environmental sounds throughout of steampunk machines, fire, water, frogs, and such which were added to set the tone of the movie, yet didn't always match what was on the screen, nevertheless, a mystical evocation to embrace magick within you.

The snapshot is of Andron Rae sitting on a bench, looking towards one of the spirals in the Wintery microclimate of Tusk. A meteor impacted the island and it all sank into the ocean before the film could be completed, what remains is a slideshow of photos, various writings, and this musical score.

The track is just over 9 minutes long, and helps to set the vibe for the rest of the album 'alpha' I was working on with drone collective. It got a lot of airplay. A nice little percussive track with ambient pads and some soft rhythmic flutes, voices, analog synth layers, and marimba. The picture is of a stained glass rendering of my logo done by my beautiful friend Charlene in South Africa.

The original title "ehpizo-de-luvyn-moosek" is a play on words for “Episode 11 Music” which is the Miniology.com episode that first featured it. I have since used the music in similar car product slideshow reels, it has a nice beat and people dig it. Whenever I listen to it I can imagine happy Artificial Intelligence constructs learning, perhaps coming aware. Woot. The picture is looking from the scorched earth to the great pyramid of Gemini Cybernetics beneath Insilico city central.

It may be debatable if this is truly a trance style electronica tune, because it is more so airy and spacey than that, however I think when I named the song, I was thinking this music could put you into a trance, therefore, the name. Long pans and sweeps and ambient effects, though the original tune had another dance style pounding drum track underneath the whole thing, I later removed it and left the simpler percussive tracks in there. There’s a lot going on in this song, fades and effects of different sorts, well.. I’ll just let you listen to it 🙂
