His music, experimental modern classic, is bursting with atmosphere. Just my thing. In Euripides' tragedy 'The Suppliants', a group of Argive mothers travels to Eleusis to plead with Theseus, king of Athens, to help them recover the bodies of their sons, who fell during the failed assault on Thebes. The Thebans, in fact, refuse to return the corpses for burial. These mothers, immersed in profound grief, represent the universal symbol of maternal mourning in the face of the loss of their children in war.

We moan about how badly off we are, that everything is so expensive and that we can all do politics better than any others! ...instead of taking a step back and doing everything we can to make things better for our children and grandchildren. But that would mean that we would have to make concessions and take back our ego. That's just not on! 😮‍💨🫣 How dishonest it is to say that we are doing everything we can to make things better for our children.
