The original idea came from the chorus of the music. I thought of an accordion to create it, but unfortunately I couldn't find a good sound for the iPad for this instrument, so I scrapped the idea and replaced it with a soft synthesizer with some depth.

My partner in adventures, on this occasion, did the rest with an impeccable job full of creativity and elegance.

this track is very special to me for several reasons. It's the first song I've composed and written. 

I am incredibly glad that I was able to work and collab with the great Sarah Paradise-Brown for this song. Her voice is fantastic and I'm delighted and honoured that she's singing the song with me.
 
Yes, with me. I like challenges and dare to take on the microphone. This is completely new territory for me, normally I just press the keys ;-)

Me and My Mind is a track that took an unexpected turn. Initially, the instrumental was created for one of my childhood favorites; a song that instantly brings back memories of Be Stiff/ Rip Off, the synth club in Stockholm where I spent every weekend as a 15-year-old.

My plan was to revive that nostalgia, but after countless attempts to extract and refine the original vocals, I had to accept that the quality just wasn’t there. I tried multiple approaches before finally giving up.

Yet, I couldn’t let go of the instrumental; I loved it too much. So instead of looking back, I chose to move forward. "Me and My Mind" became something new, shaped by the echoes of the past but with a mindset focused on the future. It’s not about recreating old memories but about reimagining them into something fresh.

Me and My Mind

"Side Effect" is a deep ambient exploration, built around pulsating soundscapes and a steady, grounding bassline. From the very start, the track breathes with a hypnotic rhythm; subtle yet powerful, evolving like an unseen force moving through space.

Layer upon layer, the soundscape expands. Pulses ripple, distortions shimmer, and textures shift, creating an atmosphere that feels both vast and intimate. As the journey unfolds, the hypnotic Phuse arpeggios emerge, weaving into the pulse like fragments of light breaking through the haze.

Distant voices echo, reality bends, and the pulse remains; endlessly traveling forward, leaving behind traces of its passage. Side Effect is not just a sound; it’s an experience, where motion and stillness coexist in perfect balance.

For the people who don't know, in Greece 2 years ago today 2 trains crashed into each other, one with passengers, and 57 people tragically died. (some sources say even more). For anyone who wants to know more about this search "Tempi Greece". I made this song with an aim to have more people know about this, since a lot of protesting will be taking place in Greece today. I usually don't put out the lyrics of my music but for this song  i did.

There are maybe some parallels between Palestines current struggle and Ireland's battle against oppression over the centuries. I found it quite beautiful, as a nation, we at least took the high ground on recognition with that small step against the wishes of most power corners of the world.

According to this there are 50 states still to recognise Palestine diplomatically. 47 of which are members of the UN. Within these 50 lie the countries with the most power...

'Over the years Ireland said a famous saying, Toicfaidh ar lá, it means our day will come. This saying became synonymous with Republican extremism which I in no way condone but here it's obviously used in a positive light and in a way it feels like taking the words back for better use! Similarly with Allahu Akbar, the only time we here those words in most Western media circles is related to more extremism. the reality is it's just two lovely words that mean God is greater and is used by millions of Muslims worldwide in there everyday lives, peacefully. So I think it's nice to use them in a normal way here too.... Calling for help on the behalf of the Palestinians 📣 Don't mean to offend anyone... Ask Palestinians if they care about me asking their God for help for them in a song maybe and getting a bit of backup from a couple of other ones too...

I'm not a religious person. Spiritual yes!
The prayers in this song are in solidarity with the Palestinians and I know prayer for most of them is most of the hope they have! A wider awareness of their plight should eventually change that. So here's my whisper for the Palestinian people. I really hope you get the freedom and peace you deserve 🙏🏻
