Codex Empire is the main project of Vienna-based UK producer Mahk Rumbae who has been active with music since the late 1980s. 
Most will recognize Mahk for his standout work as both Codex Empire and Antechamber on aufnahme + wiedergabe, HORO, Instruments of Discipline and Sacred Court. 
Mahk is also a member of the classic early 80s industrial act "Konstruktivists", whose unique and challenging atmospherics and experimental sounds helped pave the way for much of what we experience today. 
Rather than DJing, Codex Empire only performs as a live act, and has taken his darkly intense but infinitely danceable live shows around the world.

the norm. As hope begins to fade, the artist attempts to shed light on the origins of
this situation and proposes a journey to the heart of the workings of the human
mind.

Is humanity imperfect at its core, or is our condition the direct consequence of an
imperfect world? Could it be that, in the midst of all this pain and suffering, we all
have an individual responsibility?

With four cutting-edge tracks, Mind I Matter offers a window into what these
questions might imply. Ultimately, this EP testifies to the label's commitment to
offering experiences that transcend our earthly senses.

Scalameriya returns to Perc Trax after the success of 2016's 'Kepslok'. Since then he has continued to break new ground both as a solo artist and via his ongoing collaboration with Italian producer VSK, playing across Europe and releasing on a number of key labels whilst growing his own Genesa imprint. 

Now for his first release of 2018 he takes a giant leap forward both musically and technically with the three track statement of intent that is his 'Hellzone Megapunk EP'. Each track demonstrates new techniques and approaches not heard in his music before, from the 4/4 versus broken beat cage fight of the title track to Crucible's rolling polyrhythms and the otherworldly processed vocals of the closing track. 

As the first Perc Trax release of the year this EP sets out everything the label seeks to achieve, a combination of sonic innovation that manages to keep attention fully focussed on the dance floor at all times.

Exhumed Tapes II is the second in a multi-artist series of cassette releases on the Modern Cathedrals label. With label art featuring small details of 'important graves,' the series will dig into eery, broken beat techno with gritty textures. 

The second tape features four tracks by Detroit-based artist Uun, whose work on the EP builds from careful and subdued atmospheres to aggressive percussion-driven tracks. In keeping with the themes of the series, the label art once again features the grave of an author chosen by the artist.

The label's first release seeks to offer an initiatory experience to Forbidden Teaching's mission, namely to express the inexpressible.  
The A side of the record is body oriented and is introduced with NN's "The Blood Of A White Monark", a track characterised by its forceful rhythm, cinematic breakdown and strong synths. Mind I Matter dives deeper in the EBM spectrum with "Thelema", a track featuring a bassline that goes straight to the body and supported by an expertly crafted atmosphere, reminiscent of the notorious esoteric doctrine.  
The B side of the record is soul oriented and begins with Antechamber's "The Ephemeral Hallucinations", an atmospheric track that elevates the listener to a place where earthly senses become blurry. Nigh/T\mare concludes the compilation with his track "Unconscious Traction". It features a robust and hypnotic rhythm coupled with an intense atmosphere that leads the listener to a state where deeply buried emotions and desires could resurface.
