Ease Your Mind started when I played a short piano ballad I had written in my college dorm room for the band. We agreed to try and play it for a show, but it wasn't until each band member brought their best ideas to the table that this became one of our favorite songs to date. Ben took the song beyond the confines of a ballad with his beautiful yet in-your-face guitar line that ushers in an explosive finale. Will and Jacob worked in a rhythm section that perfectly complements the delicate nature of the melodies while seamlessly transitioning the song into its hard-hitting alternative rock form. Mattea lended her talents to make the vocal centric first half shine, and weaves dreamy harmonies throughout. This song is truly special to us, its the culmination of our ability to not only grow as musicians but grow as collaborators, and we hope you enjoy it.
