I wrote the song to my oldest son when he turned eighteen. Life is a wide-open road but he is still my little boy.

Black and blue, bruised and battered, ladies and gentlemen - on their latest EP, Sweden’s finest - And the broken, brings their usual mix of irresistible melodies, soaring guitars and angelic harmonies, but this time around with a distinct touch of melancholy and nostalgia. The opener “Evening sun” started out as a meditation on a guitar riff being equal parts Blue Öyster Cult and The Cure; the first incarnations of the song were at least four times longer than the released version. “Say you will” follows, airy, dreamy and with an ambiance that would make Jason Pierce green of envy. Lastly, “My heart’s desire” the gorgeous closing track wouldn’t have been out of place on fellow swedes The Soundtrack of Our Lives classic debut from 1996. Timeless and with a chorus that will take your breath away. 

The Black and Blue EP is released in streaming format on May 18.

In a state of covid boredom and post-surgery Tobias Borelius of Emerald Park decided resurrect Emerald Park but do it by himself, without the old members. Some new songs were written but the main focus were to re-used some songs originally in Swedish which deserved some new love.
One thing led to another and a collaboration had started with producer and musician Carl Granberg, also known as Hate The Boyfriend. During the process of recording and mixing they kept the old sound of Emerald Park in the back of their heads, but also tried to develop it into something else. The lead-vocals were shared between the two and various friends were invited sing and play. 
Little Things is released November 4th and is the first single from the upcoming album Lovers In Reverse by Emerald Park featuring Hate The Boyfriend which will be released February 2023.

Littlethings - feat. Hate the Boyfriend

Mattias, aka The Lonely Sasquatch, called me up in February and asked me if we could write and record a song together. ”Of course”, I said. I love the challenge of working with different people. We asked Daniel aka Danish Daycare, if he wanted to join us. So it was decided that he would play keyboards and do some mixing. 
The aim was to make a song, but it turned out to be almost a hymn. 
It was a perfect match. Three days in the studio, some excellent mixing by Daniel and everything turned out to be so much greater than we ever would have hoped. 
I really love the way Mattias records, plays the guitar and the drums and how Daniel plays the keyboards. And not to forget how Ola plays the base. What did I do? Well, I wrote the song and I tried to sing and play the acoustic guitar.
The lyrics is a tragic story about man I heard about on the news who jumped in front of a train.
I hope you enjoy it despite of its lyrics.

Night Away

Running Out Of Time is the first single from the upcoming debut album "Changes" by And The Broken from Malmö, Sweden. The band has released five EP-s from 2022-2024 but the album will consist of only new songs recorded in the house of singer Tobias Borelius by the band and mixed by Andreas Ejnarsson. Running Out Of Time is a soulful, laid-back song with a pop/folk touch to it. The trumpets by Jens Lindgård makes the song stand easy to remember. Enjoy!
