After laying down a smooth and bluesy solo, the guitar player places his instrument in its stand and leaves the stage as the band keeps grooving. He doesn’t have to worry about his gear. It’ll be there tomorrow night. He meets and kisses a black-haired beauty backstage and two head for the exit.

Moscow Tango Orchestra  – Tango pour Claude

Musician and composer Andy Iorio has focused his life on his passion for music. He studied Film Scoring and Composition at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. Andy has also developed a lecture series on “Composing Music” and has served as Musical Director at Union College for the Theatre and Dance Dept since 2008. He has performed with bands in many venues including SPAC, and on solo piano at Proctors GE Theatre and Empac Theatre (RPI). His solo music, primarily piano, saw the release of his debut album “After The Rain” in 2010 which has a national release digitally on iTunes, Amazon as well as Andy Iorio Radio on Pandora. Influences pulling from multiple artists including Philip Glass, Ludovico Einaudi, Yann Tiersen, Max Richter, and George Winston, Andy's original compositions give quiet impressions of serenity while carrying simple tonality, it's harmonies fluid and controlled. In the Summer of 2014, he composed the score to a short film entitled “The Perfect Color” which has been sent out to multiple film festivals this past year. His new release, “II” is grounded in his trademark emotionally moving melodies and taken to new heights as he weaves them together with a lush, vibrant string section—bound to pull at listeners’ heartstrings.
