11.59 were one of the first wave of Christian Folk bands during the early 1970s in the UK.
"Babylon" as we got to know it as during our time together, is taken from the album "This Our Sacrifice Of Praise". Lovingly restored by a combination subtle EQ and manually de-clicking over 100 pops and scratches on the original vinyl, reveals the gentle atmosphere of this beautiful song. This session was the first time I played Mellotron on a commercially available recording.

11.59- Psalm 137 "By The Waters Of Babylon"

Ah, Jamaican Girl. The song was supposed to summon up a vision of soft sand, sun and beautiful women. Instead, you get a load of synths and a drum machine! You can't have everything. Useless fact about the version that appeared on the album. It was produced by Peter Collins (Nick Kershaw, Garry Moore, Rush) and engineered by Chris Porter (George Michael). Pretty good pedigree.
