Deep Space Radio was originally formed in the early 1990s by Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May and Eddie Fowlkes. It was a Detroit radio show dedicated to house & techno. Deep Space Radio served as a platform where these young producers could have complete control in programming and the opportunity to expose the world to new sounds from the underground. Kevin went on to do a Deep Space Radio X-Mix for Germany’s Studio !K7 label in 1997. 2013 marks the return of Deep Space Radio as Kevin Saunderson’s monthly podcast, carrying on the tradition of introducing the most compelling new electronic music artists and presenting the deepest, funkiest techno sounds from the global underground.
