Rebirth

This is a collection of soundscape recordings made using APL's ESMA-3D microphone array. The original 8-channel 3D recordings have been binauralised for headphone listening using APL's new binaural renderer (Coming soon!).
This playlist will keep being updated with new recordings. Put on headphones, and be immersed in the immersive soundscape.

The ESMA-3D is a microphone array is designed by Dr Hyunkook Lee.  It captures the sound field in 360°, ideal for immersive audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and Auro-3D. It offers a greater sense of spaciousness, accurate localisation as well as a wider listening area. To find out more about the technique, please visit the links below.
