One half of South African break-out jazz and house music collective Goldfish joins for the 20th edition of Sub Sahara. A twenty year long history with the island makes for a landmark interview and mix from one of Africa's great musical exports.

I had a fantastic time playing on the DeMentha / Sound Garden stage at the San Francisco Burning Man Decompression. It was a beautiful warm sunny day and there were amazing vibes everywhere, and it felt right to play an uplifting set with a few throwbacks thrown in for good measure. I hope you enjoy it!

Woohaa, just found one of my most favorite house tapes! A recording of RoXY loveball dating from back in feb. '93. For me, this tape catches the spirit of house (and bull's-eye-marks my time as a student rollin' in Amsterdam :) ). Nice, crisp, uplifting recordings...man, no wonder we were all caught by this...! DJ is Tony Humphries and if you listen well, I believe Joost van Bellen grabs the mike too haha. Tracks at 01:37, 14:42 and 34:55 were my absolute favs on this one!

Andy's early musical influences range between punk, funk, soul and disco. Before DJing he was a drummer but the band broke up. He started DJing in the late 90s and over the years Andy has had several long-running club residencies and DJ'd alongside legends as Claude Von Stroke, Damian Lazarus, Jesse Rose, Green Velvet, Nora En Pure, Swayzak, Pezzner, The Lawnchair Generals, Justin Martin, and DJ T. He currently has over 50 releases out on various labels in Canada, the United States, Argentina, Australia and the UK. His music has been supported by Justin Martin, Mark Farina, Walker & Royce, Sam Divine, The Inland Knights, Carlo Gambino and more. He has DJ'd at several BC music festivals including The Squamish Valley Music Festival, Shambhala, Basscoast, Festivus and Soundwave. Currently living in Squamish BC, Andy enjoys a balanced life between music, skis and bikes.
