Ben Bohmer - Revisited

Haunting melodies, hypnotizing vocals and most of all heart- quenching synths. It is this perfect signature sound that has earned Miami-based DJ/Producer Stan Kolev, a place at the top of Progressive House music's most respected and in-demand producers.

Too much music to do a comprehensive mix of his so chose what had a good groove to it. Mainly his more recent work. Love banging a Stan Kolev track on halfway through a Prog/Techno set to add some energy to it.

Dialectics (n.) - the art of investigating or discussing the truth of opinions. The discourse between two people holding opposing viewpoints view but trying to establish a common truth through reasoned discussion.

Born out of the renowned, best-selling Yin and Yang label concept, USA and Spain create a musical discourse through Tripp Baronner and GuyRo. Presenting "Dialectics", a new monthly show airs on Proton Radio showcasing the finest underground music talent in two contrasting but inextricably linked hours.

Part 1 sees Yin thematically represented while Yang is juxtaposed through Part 2. Intimately interconnected while fluid by design, resident hosts alternate and interchange with guest artists to create a dynamic dialectical discourse, a thesis for high-calibre music to reign supreme across two symbiotic concepts and distilled into two interrelated hours full of technique, craft and passion.

The beautiful side of underground.

With the rise of artists such as Swedish House Mafia, Avicii & Alesso during an epoch of Swedish dominance in the electronic music industry, the musical inspiration within the homeland was undeniably passed on to the upcoming generations. Benjamin Banati found his inner artistic visions as a young teenager in the rainy city of Gothenburg, as composing music under the moniker 'Banaati' became an essential strategy for him to escape the everyday life of long and cold Swedish winters.

Banaati’s music is more of an artistic expression resulting from emotions rather than a commercial product. It is more of a musical journey than it is a means to pass time. Certainly, it is an emotional ride to a place far away.

Through his use of immersive atmospheres, euphoric chord progressions, and distinctive melodies, the Swedish producer has surely made a mark on the melodic deep house scene with releases on record labels such as Monstercat, Purified & Soave. Consequently, he has also gained support from some of the biggest names in the industry with the likes of Tiësto, Armin van Buuren & Martin Garrix.

The passing of Avicii and the recent publication of his biography, affected the artist on a deeper level, evoking a desire, and a sense of duty to experiment with different musical combinations to stand out in the wild jungle of electronic music. Banaati’s journey has, therefore, not just begun, but unlike with many other artists, you never know what is waiting around the corner.

I am a UK born DJ, producer and general music junkie now based in Sydney. Growing up around the thriving underground music scene in Manchester it was easy for him to fall in love with underground music and soon journey from the dance floor to behind the decks.

Over the last 10 years I've jumped between playing the club circuit in Manchester, UK including Iconic club Sankeys and many more. Running my Hydration Longboat party series. Doing a stint on to the magical music isle of Ibiza further cemented my love for music.

I've hosted DJ shows for Easy Street, Pure FM radio (UK,  Just Vibes radio and Orbital radio and now play every second Friday on Bloop London Radio. My style is a mixture of electronica, progressive and melodic house, and deep house including jazz and funk. 

Now based in Sydney where I play as one half of the Dark Dreams Collective, co-founded with Forked Tongue. Launching our Black & White Techno nights and Conscious Rebellion Progressive house raves all over Sydney. Also working with the Sutra, Deep Repeat, Mind Sub & Renegade crews playing at the likes of Club 77, Burdekin, Goodbar and more.
