Over Christmas 2014 I needed a break from recording
my album, searching online for a song I recalled from
my youth, I fell into a rabbit hole of thousands of
YouTube playlists and posts, rediscovering the songs
my friends and I would gather and listen to as
13 & 14 yr olds every Saturday in East Berlin on Radio DT64
(now Berlin's Radio Fritz).

I stumbled back to the future, collecting over 5000 songs
on YouTube, learning for the first time the artists behind
the songs we heard almost 25 years ago.

The forthcoming trilogy is the result of 18 month
of building edits from YouTube recordings and stitching
them together off-line. I could not include every song,
nor indeed even the entire tracks from this small period
until 1993, so this is my personal history of electronic
music arriving in Berlin.

This trilogy will not be sold, it was a labor of love,
born of nostalgia and made for sharing.

Paul Kalkbrenner: Back To The Future - Part 3

At the age of just nineteen, Andy Cue began to cut his teeth as a DJ and promoter at venues across the city of Toronto. Increasingly infatuated by the music, he began to truly dedicate himself to the industry and has since never looked back. 
It was during his monthly residency with Barsa Soul that he developed his local reputation and honed both his versatile skill-set and signature sound. His amorphous style spans elements of deep tech, minimal house, and techno - further shaped by his formative upbringing as a DJ in North America. He is the head-honcho of the Toronto-based Intake Music, and the North American manager of the global collective microminimal.
Under Andy’s tutelage - Intake Music have teamed up with a variety of artists, labels and platforms - co-producing content for their digital releases, radio-shows, and events around the world. 
Andy’s efforts as an individual artist and on behalf of Intake Music have engaged audiences both in his native Canada and abroad. As a label manager, producer and DJ - Andy has galvanised collaboration with Canadian platforms such as Electric Island, CODA and Vertigo Toronto and abroad with Drei’s After-Hours (USA), and Vujaday Music Festival (Barbados).
Alongside microminimal (UK) - Andy is planning worldwide events, music releases and radio content for deployment in 2020.
