This is an original rendition of a 13th Century Jewish liturgical poem (Piyyut) recorded, remixed and reimagined by Andy Dushey using sampled vocals, live instruments (guitar, bass, keyboards), synthesizers, drum machines & effects.  Maoz Tsur is translated as "Stronghold of Rock" or "Rock of Ages" and is sung on Hanukkah to commerorate miracles of victory.
