Trevor Reilly – Down With The Underground (Ian Stirling Remix)

Originally released in 1998, Down With The Underground is a deep, driving club record rooted in the late-90s underground house movement. This remix reimagines the original through a modern Afro-influenced and melodic house lens, while preserving the raw, hypnotic energy that made the track resonate on dancefloors first time around.

Rolling percussion, warm low-end, and subtle melodic tension are used to bridge classic underground attitude with a contemporary club sound, making the remix equally at home in sunset sets, peak-time builds, or late-night sessions.

This version is designed for the dancefloor — respectful to the original, but firmly grounded in the present.

The original track’s impact extended far beyond clubs, with Trevor Reilly performing Down With The Underground at Estadio Azteca in 1998 — a moment that underlined the record’s significance within Mexico’s underground dance culture. This remix is created with full respect for that history, offering a modern interpretation while honouring the legacy of the original.
