Instant Hauz is a duo consisting of Ray Becker and Lighthauz are back!
Releasing 'There's Something About House Music' and 'When the Feeling Comes' with Eton Messy Records, to deliver a deeper, darker beat than their usual laid back attire.

Conversational vocals phase in and out alongside the heavy beat, the faint patter of snare drums, soft keys and synths. The beat subsides momentarily throughout the track, giving a listener space to revel in the faint melody and chords before bringing back the steady rolling bass. The variations in the song synchronise seamlessly, thereby confirming, there really is 'Something About House Music'.

"When the Feeling Comes" is the quintessential lounge-house tune, with a deep but slow beat, which develops by the second half of the song with Instant Hauz bringing up the tempo with more emphasized keyboard and synth strokes, and a subtle acid-warp flair. Husky and hazy vocals intermittently come to the forefront, transporting us to a masterfully crafted tune that has us raring to hit the day-party scene again, and we're sure you'll feel the same way!

This year it’s all about new amazing artists on Dirt Crew Recordings and Idan Hana is no exception! We are very pleased to welcome him with his first EP on our label. Based in Los Angeles he has been involved in the music industry for over 20 years as a DJ and music producer. Also, he is the co-founder of the leading music institute BPM College. His music is rooted firmly in Deep House with classic feels, soft and gentle melodies, warm synths, and drums with a whole lot of groove.

The opener “Stam” is a lush dance floor burner that Idan co-wrote with Berlin’s “Black Loops” who for most of us needs no further introduction as he is a master of energising drum patterns and floor moving percussion. The second tune on this EP is the dusty “Peanut Crunch”, lots of jazz and playful elements make this one a personal fave for us, especially the fun vocal drops.

The second part of the EP starts with the Electro jam “Scale 4”. Reflecting another side of Idan’s musical world, more analogue and open, it works as a great break in the story of the EP and proper lead up to the last two tracks on here that are special as well. The electronic journey that is “HWLM”, more of an interlude opening up the airwaves and ears for that deep “ecstasy” pads laden beauty “Lo Fi Hi”, very much reminiscent of mid 90s House anthems, we couldn’t think of a better end to an EP than this great track. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Skipping Stones (B side) is a collaboration between A Sex & long time compadre Oblique Industries, an experimental post-dubstep tune that pays tribute to early James Blake, Mount Kimbie, and artists of a similar ilk.

Taking a much more deeply and contemplative approach to sound experiments, 'Black Hole (Rave Mix)' finds itself washed ashore on a waves of warm and groovy house music.
'Faster' segues us into life through a hallucinogenic car ride into the heart of the morning sun.
Towards the middle of such ride we can check 'Hoods Finest' -  all moving shadows and shifting figures under late night lamp light.
'Levitation' takes a dusty shakin' drum pattern and filters a cut-throat sampled 'n' filtered synth stab into the mix.
'Lost Love' is full of pure love towards aesthetic rave as an ode to the everlasting dancing night with sonorous edges.

Andy Sexton has spent many years behind the scenes helping other artists articulate their visions or collaborating using various monikers. Now emerging as an artist in his own right, Andy debuts with his release "Day 97" on his newly birthed imprint, EXU Records. This record sets the tone for what's to come. Deep house and electronica that's future-facing but finds its foundation in the nostalgic past.

Andy's sound has made its way to Burning Man Festival in Nevada, Rainbow Serpent Festival in Australia, and the infamous club's of Berlin's underground. More recent releases include Stavroz's imprint Mood Family, with more to come on his own EXU label later in 2023.
