Command Strange returns to V Recordings with a stellar 4 track EP, with a little help from his friends Alibi, Cnof, MC Fats & L-Side.

With three big colabs already under their belt (Skyline, Ahead of Me & Stardust) teaming up with Brazilian duo Alibi again was always on the cards, and they don’t disappoint taking the EP’s title track with techy roller ‘Welcome To The Future’. Cnof, another repeat collaborator joins the party for the liquid workout, ‘Blossom’, while Alexey goes solo on dancefloor banger ‘Krusty Fingers’. That leaves L-Side’s huge rework of MC Fats 2013 cut ‘Brand New Style’ to round off the EP.

Hailing from Kazakhstan, and now a seasoned producer signed to Bryan Gee's V Recordings imprint Alexey has been making waves in the Drum & Bass scene since 2010. Releases on Hospital and Med School, Fokuz, Metalheadz, Grid, and an album on DJ Marky's Innerground imprint have proven his versatility, with the Command Strange sound evolving to encompass harder, nastier styles alongside his pristine musicality.

This EP touches on all corners of that sound, taking the rough with the smooth and delivering a timeless selection of Drum & Bass flavours.

OMR011 comes to us with a 5 cuts of deep bass breakbeat pleasure.
Weighty Jungle is welcomed into the Omertà familia with their signature sound, clean breaks and deep bass.
After smashing out their B2B set with label boss Artificial Red at the last Omertà event, we thought it was about time they graced the platform.

The other side of the release comes from another label head and founder T-Break, with 2 tracks of classic ruffage and break chaos.
The final track is a remix by Weighty J, the cherry on the top of a stellar release.

As always this will remain a Bandcamp exclusive for a few weeks, streaming will start on Soundcloud and open up to other sites soon.

Meanwhile ’Told You’ sets a forward momentum with dreamy pads, filtered synths and a vocal refrain that drips in authenticity; it’s off kilter bass line sets the groove alongside a shuffled barrage of break beats & accompanying percussion which keeps things moving.

Closing track ’Sensation’ triumphantly rounds out the release with it’s nostalgic vocals, fizzy pads, and dominating technical assault of twisted midrange grit, layered alongside a weighty bass line!

Adred & Commix - Interface 01

Andy worked at the infamous Croydon record store Wax City back in the day, making lots of friends and contacts, while compiling an extensive record collection. Initially influenced by mid 90's DnB from the likes of Photek, Dillinja & Source Direct Andy started producing and had his first finished tune played by Bailey on BBC Radio 1xtra. 

Next step was signing his first tunes to local labels Jerona Fruits and then Inperspective Records, his affiliation with these labels and growing reputation helped him to begin DJing around the UK and Europe. There are not many artists out there who cover such a broad spectrum of styles ranging from the darkness of True Human Emotions (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSl26OX14jk),  to the smooth, melancholy vibe of Reading by the White Lake (www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0aXQf6aT2c), both out now on the acclaimed Utopia Music.

These days he works very closely with Goldie's Metalheadz label, Mako's Utopia Music, Ant TC1's Dispatch Recordings, Bryan G's V Recordings, Billy Denial's Siren imprint and Mr Joseph’s Fizzy Beats label. He is a regular DJ at the popular Fizzy, Siren, Technicality and Jungle Syndicate nights, where he can show his passion for DnB of all styles, old and new. 

Most recently Andy released an EP on Metalheadz which has been very well recieved. Also a  tune on Dispatch Recordings called Mercenary, a collab with Mako on his 101 EP, which has been receiving support on Friction's BBC Radio 1 show. He has also released a 16 track album, Lost Dubs (2003-2010) on his own Bandcamp page. More music coming soon on Dispatch, Metalheadz and Jungle Syndicate.
