Here is a solo section from a song I did awhile back. The song, I feel, was subpar; however, I find the solo mature and expressive. I like the entire atmosphere of the section. Hope you do too. If not, eat shit.

Coolsolo

Improvising in the very guitar friendly key of e minor. This wasn't played to a click and it isn't perfect, but I tried to imagine extraterrestrials holding a conversation. Whatever, bullshit. 

Aliums

This is the sound of a really sad Andy Thomas. It is also the first time I sang in front of anyone, so if it sounds nervous, it is. Acoustic guitar and mandolin. I might do it again with some confidence and now that my life isn't in total shambles.

Jammin' on a riff idea today. Programmed drums and guitar, as usual. Trying to embody some not necessarily pleasant things.

The real version of the first Black Crown Initiate song, co-written by Ethan Mckenna and I, with both our guitar skills shining bright as the shining goddamned stars above. This is how the band will sound. No bass, vocals, or real drums yet; but very fuckin' soon!

Love and a Silent Sky

This is a happy song about the experience of death with the knowledge that we are not simply disappearing, but changing manifestations; so there is no reason to be afraid. When I was young, I would make these multi-layered guitar pieces, and I wanted to try that again.  Structurally, I wanted the piece to reflect what I'm singing about. It is really one idea, developed and then stripped away again.

The Old Believer

This is going to be one of the main musical themes on the Black Crown Initiate ep, which will be more than professionally recorded in June. The lead guitar melody is actually intended to be the vocal melody, but it may end up being used as both. The ep and the band are intended to adequately reflect the dark times that we live in. Plus, I'm not feeling too well lately, and I think it shows. I suck at recording things that sound good, but this is a very rough demo anyway, so eat shit. "The crippled bull of discord, wrath, and avarice will find its way into another age."

Here is a demo of the first song off of the Black Crown Initiate EP, scheduled to be recorded professionally at Atrium Audio next week. I did the vocals on it, but the EP will feature James Dorton of The James Dorton Boner Bonanza.
