I’m writing this at 3:10 AM on December 28th, 2025,I just found out a peice of my heart is gone forever. You came into my life what feels like yesterday and I’m not ready to say goodbye yet. You feel like a best friend. A daughter. I really love you more than words could ever articulate. I’m not good with expressing emotion and for some reason I feel like you know that and are okay with it. You never forced me to explain myself or judged me for my wrongs, you were just there for me every time I came through the door with your eyes wide ready to make me feel loved. I should’ve spent more time with you. My moms otw to be with you before we let you go for good and I can’t be there. You’re in pain and I cannot soothe you. I can’t hold your hand or give you a treat. I got home a couple hours ago from dropping off at the vet and something in me told me it would be the last time. I walked you into the room because you were scared to be left. I should’ve bought you that Big Mac. I should’ve thrown you that ball more. I shouldn’t have spent these last few weeks worried about your weight and what you ate. I should’ve fed you caviar and let you drink a milk shake. You deserved the world and so much more and I’m sorry I didn’t deliver that. I’m sorry you never came to my new house because I was “too busy”. I’m sorry your forever home isn’t gonna be with me. I wish I could pet you one more time. I wish I would’ve told you how perfect you were. I would trade 10 years of my life for one more week with you. I wish I hade taken more pictures with you while you were here.
