schallfeld ist Weite - Furche um Furche, Linie um Linie, die an einem vorbeirauschen, wenn sich
die Wege kreuzen.
Schrillend schallende Synth-Fetzen schreien aus dem dunkel-treibenden Bass-Geflecht hinaus wie
Blitzinferno in der Nacht – teils klagend, teils losgelöst, teils melancholisch aber immer fordernd.
Ein Algorythmus der Gleichmäßigkeit, der Bewegung verfangen - Furche um Furche, Linie um
Linie.
Angesichts einer bunten flippig glitternden Klangwelt, die einen tagtäglich anbrüllt, will
schallfeld der Gleichgültigkeit mit Ungleichgültigkeit entgegentreten. Ein Gedanke der
Nachdenklichkeit schwingt über dem Set wie das Damoklesschwert über der Konsumgesellschaft -
klug gesetzte Elemente entwickeln im richtigen Kontext eine größere Bedeutung als überladene,
überkomprimierte Musikmonster. Weniger ist manchmal mehr – Polyphonie in der Monotie des
rotierenden Loops - Furche um Furche, Linie um Linie.

This week we welcome a fantastic up-and-coming DJ from the province of Santiago del Estero in Argentina’s interior. Anto Romano has loved music from her childhood and has nurtured a passion to absorb, learn and study a variety of sounds, typically on the melodic side. She has developed a versatile style in her track selection, and this has opened a number of doors for her as a progressive DJ who knows how to borrow from deep, organic and progressive house, melodic techno and even ethereal among others.

Anto started her journey as a DJ in 2019 and has been one of the key movers of the electronic music scene in her home province, where acceptance remains elusive. At the age of 24 she has already been behind the decks at many of her city’s events and most of its good bars including Mamba Negra, Antares, BBQ, Patagonia, Francis Bar and Roonin. Her sets have been played on a number of radio stations including Capital 101.3 FM, Planeta Groove Radio, Buenos Aires’ Phoenix Sonido Selecto on 102.9 FM, Radio House in Tucuman, the Influencias radio show in Corrientes, and Dinamica Radio in Santa Fe. In addition, she has started to appear internationally on Loops Radio (Turkey) and Cosmos Radio (Germany).

Her style is inspired by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Sasha, John Digweed, Soul Button, FOLGAR, Soundexile, Artfaq, Antrim, Ezequiel Arias and Martin Garcia among others. Anto is planning to start producing.

This is her first Canadian appearance and Ottawa Prog Vibes is thrilled to have her as our guest for this week’s episode.

One more year, and with some delay, I resubmit my compilation of the best selection of the tracks that I have played in Mixcloud and Soundcloud, the last year 2021, from my perception and personal taste. 

In previous years, I have prepared a compilation of all the styles, mixing in a same session. This year, I have wanted to do a compilation only of an unique styles, because of all the commitments and collaborations that I have had the last year, and where I could to do a compilation for each style that I have played , due to volume of all collaborations that I have had. This year I have focuses, in which all the tracks have or coexist within the deep style, which is one of the styles that I like the most. One more time, I want to thanks to all collaborates, and to all of persons that they have wanted to share with me a musical moment, through B2B, Guest shows or Radio shows, also to all the people who have proposed me good projects for the future, and of course to all the people to have supported me, and that they have dedicated their valuable time listening the most of my session and specially to listen and support my two channels. This is always very motivating and this always help to continue to working for this wonderful music world, where fortunately, I have met great people, Djs, producers, and collaborates. For everyone… A big hug and my best wishes for all. I hope you like this session full of great tracks, great producers and knowing that I have had to leave a lot of great tracks and great producers out, simply because I have tried to build a very dynamic session in sometimes, with a lot of feeling in others, and I always try when I play what I like the most, is that your body vibrates, and motivates you to dance.
