Got a job on a passenger ship
Serving five dollar cocktails and mopping up sick
The pay was so crap and my cabin mates gay
The hours were bad but the food is ok.
Sailing the Sea's never seeing the sights
Watching fat oiled guests as high as a kite
Then a job to the bridge took this sailor aback
Saw The Captain was blonde and incredibly capped

This guy was all overboard
This girl saluted and swore

Full Ahead her course was true
And the Captain came too
I fell to my knee's and blew
Then The Captain came too
She dropped anchor I just knew

One week later and the ships gone to pot
the captain and me never leaving her cot
Crew went pirate and they rigged up a plank
the more she was gone the more they had drank
Sailed in circles and the passengers moaned
the purser just laughed and looked at them stoned
We were so lucky when the ship ran aground
On a tropical Island and no one had drowned
 
Love from this ship to that shore
I follow orders for more
 
She steered straight her course was true

'Esplanade' is the 16th track to be uploaded from the third AES collective entitled 'The Truth About Life'. This song is inspired by my favourite town in the United Kingdom, Hastings. Found on the coast of East Sussex, south east England. Its a rough diamond, but still a jewell to me. One day I hope to live there. Thanks as always for everyones support, special mention to AV. I first formed AES (An English State) in 2009, originally as a three piece. Before going solo.

There are a few tracks from 'State of Dysphoria' the second AES collective. and the newest tracks ( In my set ) from the third AES album collective entitled 'The Truth About Life ' ( Pink, you ripped off my idea 1st ! )

Everything is recorded at my photographic studio in Eastbourne, East Sussex. ( On a wing and a prayer ! )
