It all began with his uncle’s donated crates of early jungle records, now Hospital’s infamous young-gun Unglued serves up his own instalment of dancefloor warfare. ‘Born In ‘94’ is his homage to the golden era and is certain to pack in a crowd with its serious sub-bass and summer festival feel, topped with the legendary vocals of MC Conrad from a classic ‘93 tape pack.

It’s matched up with B-side ‘Malware’, a collaboration with Neosignal head-honcho Phace, born out of Unglued’s visit to Hamburg. A swarm of industrial synths meet a gritty bassline to tunnel a path of tear-out techy D+B savagery.

Having amassed huge support from his earlier productions including his monumental remix of High Contrast’s ‘If We Ever’, Unglued continues to go strength to strength with back to back bookings every weekend across the globe. Since inception in 2009, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. Since emerging into the drum and bass scene in 2017, Bristol based up-and-comer Dan Hancox aka Thread has quickly established himself a talent to watch.  Alongside being label manager of Riddim Records, which he co-founded with fellow DJ Mascot last year, Thread has quietly made a name for himself with a series of solo releases and free downloads.  Now he shows off his versatility on SNB065, with melodic soother ‘Away’ coupled with the club ready ‘When I Feel’.

Program’s seminal 100th release has finally dropped and so far, it’s delivered two bodies of work; an array of 54 exclusives through its most recent package as well as a sampler which acted as its prelude. For the next segment, the sister-label of Ram Records is unleashing yet more new music. With it comes a host of reworks, taking classic Program tracks from the imprint’s catalogue and having roster guests add their spin to each selection, following in the wake of their colossal Skantia 'Bassline Secret' reboot. 
Whilst fellow Russian artist Nais takes on the sounds of Teddy Killerz and Coppa through ‘Jackyl & Hyde’, Legion & Logam’s ‘Afterthought’ is given the deluxe treatment by Gerra & Stone. What follows is Legion & Logam stepping up to give their own version of Gerra & Stone’s ‘L.I.E.S’, Kung’s expert reimagining of Kelle’s ‘Repirator’, Levela taking Wickaman & RV’s ‘Sound Clash’ through his own lens, Subview adding his take on ‘The Truth’ from Stealth with Fats on vocals and Monument Banks making a welcome addition alongside Aperio’s ‘Grey To Blue’. Then to finalise the track list, Zero Zero’s rework of MD ‘Fiction’ and the Sound in Noise mould of Frankee’s ‘Firehorn’ leaves a delicious taste. 

Overall, it’s yet another celebration of what the platform has spent nearly a decade creating. So once again… It’s time to get with the Program. One which remains as groundbreaking as ever, 100 releases on.
