We are grateful to have the artist Angekaut for our fifth installment of carbon file. This accomplished designer brings his love for aesthetic to display an array of influences. An example of intentional vision and composure, Angekaut’s mix builds from a calm storm to a controlled chaos. Class throughout, this one is made for the dance floor.

Our second episode features German-born Los Angeles-based DJ, visual artist, and adventurer, angekaut, with a set that whirled us into the daylight hours at our first Anemone party (DTLA, Nov 2023).

"This set was ideated with a few things in mind: A concrete structure in downtown LA, an 8am slot at the tail end of a 12-hour party, some of my best friends being there. I was in-between trips at that point, giddy to play some records I had just brought back from Europe while packing my bags to fly out to Asia. This collection of tracks is meant to be a journey as well, along feelings of longing, excitement, melancholy and bliss. Feelings one might encounter journeying through a foreign country or one’s self, a trip between worlds nevertheless.” - angekaut
