I am a singer songwriter. I have really been singing since I could talk. At this time I do not play an instrument.. so how do I write?; I create and/or use music & beat loops to create the music piece, using my iPad/garage band . Then I create the song by writing lyrics or poems, then I sing over the newly created music.

I was asked a couple weeks ago at a songwriters showcase if i “do” covers.  I have redone a few, but not too many. 
Today,  I was creating music.. and the song “Leaving on a Jet Plane” came up. 
So I thought I would have fun, & cover it! 

History;
Leaving on a Jet Plane" is a song written by John Denver in 1966 and most famously recorded by Peter, Paul and Mary. 
In 1969, John Denver recorded a version of the song for his debut solo album, Rhymes & Reasons, and re-recorded it in 1973 for John Denver's Greatest Hits. 

In 1998, Chantal Kreviazuk scored a international hit with this cover of "Leaving on a Jet Plane". The song appeared on the soundtrack to the blockbuster film Armageddon.
