How does that story go again…?
Color photograph 80″x48″ and 10 minute Audio installation housed in giant chair of child telling her version of the princess and the pea story.
The piece relates to memory, how we are told stories and our memory of them. In telling and retelling the story it changes, we make it fit our idea of what we want the story to be, whether conscious or unconsciously. I’m interested in the concept of fact and fiction and how they are intertwined in fairy tales, how morals and meaning are taken from these tales and want to question our interpretation of these and how we make them relevant to our culture and society today. The work also deals with issues of loss and innocence, what children are exposed to and how that information shapes them. The work questions our notions of truth and accuracy, it brings up the question can you believe everything you hear and should you? And can you rely on memory or what it is you think you remember?

Interchange at The Center for Emerging  Visual Artists, Philadelphia 27 April-18 May 2012.
On loan  from 19 May 2012 to The GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, Reading, Pennsylvania. 

For fun I made a new track using the amazing funky and catchy melody from Can't Stop Playing (2005) by Dr Kucho! & Gregor Salto and played it in my sets. It got such great responses and Spinnin' Records also loved it! Later I finished it with @GregorSalto himself and now it will be released 29th of august on @SpinninRecords :)

Known as an act that always delivers, Flashmob enters its 4th year as one of the most well loved underground house and techno projects in Europe.

Having originally scored modern anthems Need In Me and Brick House for heavyweight labels Defected and Get Physical and felt full support from both the house and techno community, Flashmob continue to strive to deliver the perfect fusion of underground beats with crossover hooks that satisfy both the Saturday night crowd and Sunday morning community.

It’s this desire to share good music that led them to launch of their own label Flashmob Records and Flashmob Ltd which has now received support from Annie Mac, Heidi and Skream on BBC Radio One, Disclosure, Dusky, Eats Everything, DJ W!ld, Tiga, Groove Armada and many more headliners on the decks.

Over the past few months Flashmob have releases and remixes on some of the world’s most respected labels including; Alan Fitzpatrick’s ESD vinyl label, Objektivity Ltd vinyl, DFTD, Viva, Avotre, Moon Harbour, Little Helpers and W!ld’s W label which demonstrates just how central they are to the global underground movement.
