Just freshened up this track, made it a bit longer, tweaked the EQ.

It's one of those tracks I keep going back to, really pleased with the drum programming I did on this one.

Biothermic (Inductive mix)

The Terminator Theme is a classic track to cover, unfortunately it's written in 13/16 and Caustic can only do 4/4 (3/4 too if you hack it with triplets), anyway, I decided not to let this deter me and shoehorned it into 4/4, this changes it slightly (as you might expect). But I still like the results.

Turned out sounding a bit like an 80s cop show theme, which is probably quite accurate for when it was originally written... I'm not sure I like it though, I feel it would be darker than this!

So I looked into it a bit and discovered a piano version, and the piano version also had some midi files. So I imported them, simplified them and then went to town on remixing it, during this process Chincane's Offshore kinda fell out in the process so I ended up going with it... The result is pretty good I think!

The game is never won

So it turns out I have unconsciously made a "sort of" cover of Sploosh by the Ozric Tentacles, which is annoying because a) I thought I'd written an original track and b) Sploosh is a really good track. 

It seems that a song that I'd not listened to for years was knocking about in the back of my mind and wasn't actually an original ideal... Bugger!

Walking through water

I'd been looking for a rap that wasn't about guns, girls or how good in bed the artist proclaimed to be and found this acapella of this Scor-Zay-Zee, I really liked it and turned it into a DnB / Rap / Electronica track.

I'm really pleased with the result, gets my head bobbing every time I listen to it!

Downloaded another Scor-Zay-Zee acapella from Splice. Had to completely mash up and slice up the rap to make it work with the music but really pleased with the result.

Intimate Gig

A remake of the IK+ music by Rob Hubbard, a chip tune remake into not chip tune! Purists I'm sure will not be impressed, I also removed about 3 minutes off the end of it where it all goes a bit prog! 

But, I'm pleased with the result, the bass line and drums just drive!

This needs to be played over a decent set of speakers or decent headphones otherwise you'll lose the impact of the bass.

So this has been knocking around for a bit, it started off life as a drum preset that sounded a bit Blue Mondayish and I got a bit carried away and ended up making a cover of it. 

I've never been sure whether to upload it or just let it rot, it's not much of a remix, it was more an exercise to see if I could remake it or not... Anyway... Here it is and it was a lot of fun trying to synthesize the old synths they had using what I've got.

I appreciate this track is walking a fine line of remake / remix and just carbon copy, but in my defense I did put a shed load of work into it!

The Vocal was downloaded off the internet!

Hooky's bits are a found guitar sample affected in an attempt to give it the right sound.

Everything is reprogrammed and resynthesized, no loops or samples from the original with the exception of the lead vocal.

Just decided to do something fast and aggressive as most of my recent work has got all a bit pretty!

I like Driving beats, orchestral strings, epic sounds and general electronica, most of my music has a soundtrack vibe to it because I like that sort of thing, That more or less covers the kind of thing I do, with a bit of pop thrown in for good measure!
