Mental Hangover

My son drew a picture, I thought it looked like a box headed man sat down... I think it was actually just random scrawling. But the phase box head stuck and a much of lyrics fell out... So I 'slightly underworld' inspired track around it!

Remake of the classic 80s Bananarama track using an acapella of the ace of base cover.

Cruel Summer

Continuing on the theme of downloading acapella tracks I thought I'd have a stab at re-imagining Shout by Tears for Fears with a sort of Dark Electronica feel. Hope you like it.

Finally completed my Enjoy the Silence remix, pretty sure purists won't like that I've pushed the BPM to 120 and made it more of a dance track.

Enjoy the Silence

I'd been looking for a rap that wasn't about guns, girls or how good in bed the artist proclaimed to be and found this acapella of this Scor-Zay-Zee, I really liked it and turned it into a DnB / Rap / Electronica track.

I'm really pleased with the result, gets my head bobbing every time I listen to it!

Downloaded another Scor-Zay-Zee acapella from Splice. Had to completely mash up and slice up the rap to make it work with the music but really pleased with the result.

Intimate Gig

So this has been knocking around for a bit, it started off life as a drum preset that sounded a bit Blue Mondayish and I got a bit carried away and ended up making a cover of it. 

I've never been sure whether to upload it or just let it rot, it's not much of a remix, it was more an exercise to see if I could remake it or not... Anyway... Here it is and it was a lot of fun trying to synthesize the old synths they had using what I've got.

I appreciate this track is walking a fine line of remake / remix and just carbon copy, but in my defense I did put a shed load of work into it!

The Vocal was downloaded off the internet!

Hooky's bits are a found guitar sample affected in an attempt to give it the right sound.

Everything is reprogrammed and resynthesized, no loops or samples from the original with the exception of the lead vocal.

Blue Monday (Deconstruction and Remake)

With all the craziness going on in the world I had this song pop into my head. I found the vocal... And reworked it into a sort of dramatic cinematic vibe... Not sure if it works...

Everybody wants to rule the World

I like Driving beats, orchestral strings, epic sounds and general electronica, most of my music has a soundtrack vibe to it because I like that sort of thing, That more or less covers the kind of thing I do, with a bit of pop thrown in for good measure!
