Gates--formerly known as Gats--is a producer, DJ, and performer based in Berlin, Germany.

His music is a unique blend of psychedelic dance music with references to different kinds of micro-genres from the past 60 years. A boundless approach to sample exploration with an eye on both the analog and digital world, Gates' work expresses the freedom of eclecticism.

The upcoming release Gates - Opium Voice is part of the one-track single serie on his own imprint Suçuarana Records. His debut Ep was released in January 2023 on Nein Records.

I was afraid the set did not record this time, because battery run out of power at some moment, but luckily there is a good half of it recorded. The weather this time was moody and cloudy as the day itself for me - all this set the different tone and i'm really happy where the sounds led me, the moods shifted and even the sun apperead. I was enjoying this set so much, hope you will enjoy it too 🌞

The first time we met @luanaschwengber was in July 2017 in Amsterdam when she came together with Ricardo Vincenzo to one of our love summer gatherings. We kept in touch, met in February 2018 at Festival Nomade in Chile and she told us that she started creating her own sets. Two month later we got to listen to her first set and we absolutely loved it, so we are happy to have her now contributing Lovecast 59.
