The Swiss-based Chateau Chépère crew brings a diverse EP from Ambient House maestra Rai Scott for their first installment. The five-tracker 'Anahata Nada' EP sees Edinburgh-based artist explore warm and lush House vibes centered around a party environment. From the gorgeous Ambient title track 'Anahata Nada' that can do magic in the chill-out rooms to more dance floor oriented 'Logical Positivism,' 'Track 4 Inspired' and 'Open Your Eyes,' the latter is signed under Rai's Serendipity alias. 
Our premiere for today, 'Track 4 Inspired', is a melancholic Hazy House journey. Driven by the classic Deep House groove, the track shows its beauty in lush pads exhaling in long, overlapping layers. Melancholic keys and atmospheric textures give the track a special moody touch, ideal for upcoming rooftop parties here in Brooklyn. 

'Anahata Nada' EP was released on March 7th via a new Lausanne-based vinyl-only imprint, Chateau Chépère.

ReKaB
Growing up listening to electronic music being played by his big brother in their shared bedroom, Yazoo, Jean Michel Jarre, Depeche Mode and Acid House soon found its way through the speakers.
Heavily influenced by Kraftwerk, B12, R&S, As One, those early Warp releases, and a love of Detroit techno, it was invertible the leap into production would be made.
A 2019 debut on Where We Met, and further releases on We’re Going Deep, Móatún 7, Intellitronic Bubble, Fourier Transform, ReKabs music is intelligent and effortlessly deep.


Miles Atmospheric
One of the true unsung heroes of UK techno, Miles Sagnia aka Miles Atmospheric, is as much a mesmerising presence behind the DJ booth as he is in the studio. Through his richly emotive releases, he weaves seamless stories out of the deepest house or the most spacious techno. He is equally at home going deep on his own Atmospheric Existence label or sending out uniquely soulful techno missives for labels such as Applied Rhythmic Technology, Firescope or Detroit's Aesthetic Audio. Last year he released Miles Away on Chicago's Finale Sessions, his second double long-player and the follow-up to his 2014 debut LP – Aeration. This year he debuts another new alias 'Quadra', with close friend Charlie Tear, a LIVE duo / production outfit.
As a DJ for over 20 years, Miles enjoys a dedicated following no matter whether he is delivering sets of muscular late night techno, or feel-good Sunday-afternoon house. Given the choice, he will straddle the divide to create something unpredictable yet hypnotic, laced with as much energy as there is soul. From London to Paris to Shanghai, he cuts a unique presence in the Dj booth.

Dance music has always been grounded in a sense of place. Chicago, Detroit, London, Berlin—a zip code can tell you as much about the music as the year it was made. But beyond the nuts and bolts of the here and now lies a netherzone where some of the best electronic music floats, impossible to pin down. Swayzak’s (@s_w_z_k) 'Snowboarding in Argentina' is one such record.

The title hints at its uncanny placelessness. The music has nothing outwardly to do with Argentina, for one thing. The work of UK producers David Nicholas Brown and James S. Taylor, it was recorded in a number of locations—mostly bedrooms—around London. Yet there is little that is quintessentially British about the music. Instead, Brown and Taylor drew much of their inspiration from, on the one hand, the luminous chords and silky heft of Detroit techno, and on the other, the staccato drums and clipped textures that were then beginning to bubble out of Berlin and Cologne.

The core of 'Snowboarding in Argentina' appeared on a series of three two-track singles in 1997. (Taylor brought 10 copies of the first to Berlin’s Hard Wax, sold them directly to the shop for a fistful of Deutschmarks, and turned around and spent the money on records; that’s how DIY electronic music worked in those days.) The album itself appeared in 1998 on London’s Pagan label and quickly built a cult following. It was clear that the music was in conversation with its contemporaries: Heard from the right angle, it was possible to imagine it as a halfway point between the proto progressive house of Underworld and the monochromatic minimalism of Kompakt. But it also didn’t quite sound like anything else around; it was a dispatch from an unknown territory that needed no special understanding to decipher.

A quarter century later, 'Snowboarding in Argentina' sounds simply eternal. Certain hallmarks of ’90s production are available—the music’s almost murky warmth is a reminder of what electronic music sounded like before software swallowed everything into its digital maw—but there’s nothing dated about it. The exploratory nature of these tracks, as the result of experimenting with their machines’ limitations, never eclipses their musical or emotional essence.

Long since been deemed a classic, 'Snowboarding in Argentina' remains an underdog in the annals of electronic music. Its semi-obscurity was surely not helped by the decision to publish nine of its original 12 tracks on the CD, and seven on the vinyl, with only four appearing on both formats. Twenty-five years after its original release, Lapsus’ Perennial Series edition unites, for the first time, all the album’s tracks as a single triple-vinyl package, rounding out the 12 original songs with previously unreleased material. Working off the original DAT premasters, Swayzak have created new edits of all the tracks. The result might be considered the definitive edition of the album as it was meant to be, after a 25-year journey. It seems fitting that an album so timeless would continue morphing throughout its lifespan. For fans, it’s the chance to hear a beloved album as never before. And for newcomers, it’s the perfect introduction to a record that, in its own quiet way, reshaped the sound of electronic music, opening up new frontiers unbound by cartography or calendars.

In utter disbelief of years gone by at light-speed, we are overjoyed (and slightly shocked) to announce the 20th anniversary of Dial Records.
When Dial was founded in Hamburg around the turn of the Millenium we envisioned it as an experimental platform for a musical dialog among close friends - never would we have then thought it would last that long.
Today Dial is like an ongoing diary for us documenting all these years across over a hundred releases, all the countless collaborations with artists and new friends we have made along the way.
In 2020 we would like to take a further look into the future. After the release of Soela's album Genuine Silk (April 24th) and the upcoming XDB debut album in September, our jubilee compilation DIAL 2020 will be the frequent companion throughout the anniversary year. Our favorite artists will be presented on a series of releases- first in digital formats and finally as a very special vinyl edition.
With DIAL 2020 (II) (July 10th) we're thrilled to announce the stunning works of Christopher Ledger, Soela, Whodat, Yone-ko, Jacques Bon & Drux and Carsten Jost. Again we're blessed with outstanding productions by some of our favorite producers and a rare contribution of label founder Carsten Jost.
Throughout the entire year, we will be open for all kinds of media, documentaries, interviews and label stories. A publication documenting the visual endeavors of Dial Records will shine a light on that very crucial part of the label's history and will be released towards the fall of 2020.
