Jesus Loves Me

I've been away from my piano for a few weeks, not by geography, more by other things.  Today, I went back, this is a "thinking track". The photo is mine, taken last spring in the upper Rocky Mountains very near the four 14,000 feet mountains sometimes called the Collegiate Mountains as they are named after famous East Coast colleges.  The water under that ice was so cold, muddy a bit from the start of the spring thaw, but oh so beautiful. Nearest town  to this place is a tiny, tiny spot on the map called Twin Lakes, Colorado, USA, if you would like to look it up on a map.

October's full Hunter's Moon follows the full Harvest Moon of September, which falls around the start of the autumn equinox. My kids are climbing Mt. Everest. They have been stopped by Altitude sickness.  I am told they are quite ill.  So today, this keeps me from worrying.

It occurs to me that although some days ARE stone, the effect on my life depends entirely on how I view the stones. Some are big enough to really hurt, but some are So beautiful they take my breath away.  WE GET TO DECIDED what to learn from each different kind.

Roger, this is rough, but is this the kind blues you might be able to add your guitar too?  I made a bunch of versions, & these are NOT mixed (as mixing is not yet one of my better skills, if you could call it a skill @ all, loll)  Just searching for something that might be beautiful. Sloe Gin Piano Blues Track

I have had classical piano lessons since I was a very very small girl. My mother was an opera singer, & her mother played every night as the "music entertainment" @ what is now known as a bed & breakfast. It was then known as a boarding house.  All three of us kids started lessons around the age of three or four.  My brother stills plays beautifully.  

Growing up, we moved many many times.  One of the greatest solaces of my life both then & now is my absolute love of music. All kinds of music interests me, & I will try to play them all on the piano.

It was only in the last few years that I have started composing. The composing came to me naturally, almost without my conscious thought.  You will find some of my compositions here. 
I also write lyrics in the form of poetry. Several soundcloud artists have set a number of them to music. (Thank  you Fritz)

I hope that you enjoy my music, & if you would like to play along, come & tell me what kind of music you would like, & we can see if it works out.
