“For the last 15 years, Giu Nunez has been presenting herself as a Dj in South America, starting her career at the age of 18 and collecting songs since childhood. She carried out parties dedicated to Afro-Latin culture in Curitiba and after moving to São Paulo, she dug even deeper into the record archaeology. That’s where we met her too, her magic behind the decks was omnipresent... It was by creating her own sound, digging into vinyl records, listening and nurturing her own aesthetic, the obvious first feelings of something new, with a repertoire for the most obscure & world music finds, that resulted into her curiosity and versatility in mixing genres and perceptions. 

Her work gained charming recognition around the world, which made, for the last 8 years, her a common name in the lineup of festivals and parties throughout Brazil and in several other countries, playing on global events like the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), Radio Tempo Não Pára, Boilerroom.tv, Rinse.Fm, Kiosk, …. Exploring sound worlds in experimental formats, cosmic relaxing in nature or in urban versions focused on electronica music.”

Rio 002 - Liquid Earth

Seven hours recorded from the all night b2b between Christoffer aka C.K and myself. There isn't a lot of recordings from marathon sets up online, so thought this would be a nice one to share for those of you who like a long uninterrupted ride.

C.K and I are both from Denmark, and our friendship goes a long way back. We worked together on a vinyl only podcast in the late 00's on blogspot.com for those of you who remember those times digging through blogs and Myspace. Since then C.K has been producing amazing records and doing fantastic mixes on his Safe Radio series (highly recommended!) as well as help the local scene with a wonderful voluntary-run venue 'Super' in the city of Aarhus in Denmark.

It has been a long enjoyable ride to run my label Delaphine for 10 years, a ride of surprises, and this night was a such a ride as well. A fun back-to-back ping pong of followups, layups, and curve balls. We hope you enjoy the ride.

Thanks to the always amazing Aether Club team that consistently throughout the years have provided such an amazing space for electronic music in the heart of Budapest.
