Number Fifty Three presented by two very involved members of the local Naarm/Melbourne music community. Sub Par is a new duo made up of the ever-talented @l_arak and @maxwellsadj , the man behind a range of well known Melbourne institutions, including Daydreams, A Weekend With and Thank You Bar & Thank You 2. 

Lara K has released on labels Pure Space, AR53, Fluxx and e-quarium. As a live act she has played club shows in Melbourne and Sydney, including as part of Melbourne Music Week. In 2021 Lara has been DJ'ing more, and is working on new label/events series, Ember.

"I recorded it at the end of this past summer, which coincided with the end of the festival season. I needed to recharge my physical+emotional batteries after a summer-long marathon of playing non stop in clubs and festivals all over France and doing my Berlin debuts.

 I think the mix is an accurate reflection of my mood in that moment. It’s a nostalgic combo of slow rhythms, soft vocals and transcendental vibes, which help de-clutter the mind and ease the soul. I would recommend giving it a listen on a sunny afternoon, going out on a walk in a park or while riding a bike near a body of water. "

A clubby and journey driven mix from one of our favourite djs and next guest on the series. 

TSUNIMAN, originally from Switzerland, has based themselves in London for the best part of 6 years. The Sisu Crew, Co-Select, and Klub Verboten resident has been playing on some of the most exciting and progressive lineups across Europe, pushing their unique sounds encapsulating Trance, Progressive House, Techno, EBM and Breakbeat. 

It comes as no surprise that TSUNIMAN describes their sound as 'light, dark, euphoric'. If you've seen them play before, you would know they love changing the tone of their sets, which can often vary from dark, heavy and psychedelic, to happier, euphoric vibes. This mix for Solace explores the colourful side of the sound of TSUNIMAN, presenting progressive house/trance and breakbeat.

If you're in London this Friday, 16th December, TSUNIMAN will be closing Venue MOT, playing alongside Dylan Forbes, Spray and Tussle London's resident Sinic.

SOLACE SPACE 009 ✼ TSUNIMAN

Brett has been making waves on the international level with his productions while also becoming a staple in the local scene playing at some of the amazing parties Melbourne has to offer. Starting in 2021 Brett released a debuting track on the wonderful Psy Section , followed shortly after by a three track ep on the equally wonderful Goddezz and even more recently tracks on V/A comps by Goddezz and Nebulae Records. Through only this modest amount of releases he has managed to demonstrate his talent by defining his own unique sound, drawing inspiration from the old and new. His tracks always seem to have a deep propulsive quality while maintaining a joyful, dreamy mood throughout bringing you to those unique, encapsulating moments on the dance floor. They feature rich, dreamy synths and pads, driving but groovy lows, and flawlessly placed highs to create a truly immersive state of euphoria.

For Brett’s contribution to the series he has brought his own production sound to his mix. Expect to be taken on a journey of highs, lows and everything in between in the form of deep, dreamy and euphoric 4/4 grooves and breaks.
