A Day May Come [Bleeding Fingers Contest]

I've been doing music for decades but can't remember excitement like this :-) This contest is great idea and it makes talented people do their best. This track is great representation of my original sound, greatly influenced by Vangelis, Mike Oldfield and Hans Zimmer. Enjoy :-)  WAV48/24 available on demand.

Bleeding Fingers Contest - Destinys Door Theme

My 2nd and final entry for the Bleeding Fingers Contest. Of the original Hans Zimmer track called 'Destiny's Door', I used his original Percussion Stem and Solo Vocal Stem. I dropped the original tempo from 100bpm down to 92bpm and time stretched the Solo Vocal Stem as well as some pitch shifting to compensate for the lower key.

Mixed by Geir Gunnarsson and myself.

This track has been made with samples of "Destiny's Door": Trumpet, Solo voice, Choir,  Brass, Percussions and Synths. I composed a brand new melody adding the original one to spice it. I call the piece Genesis to symbolize the creation and the beginning of an extraordinary adventure.

Bleeding Fingers Contest - Genesis

Written in less than 7 hours, this is my last-minute entry into the "Bleeding Fingers" composer's contest (http://www.hanszimmerwantsyou.com/)
So many of the entries for this contest took the sample theme and musical material in a dark, driving direction, I wanted to take it somewhere a little lighter.  Incorporating a theme of my own into the mix, I used the bits of the "Brass" and "Piano/Bells/Harp" stems.

Throughout the journeys of my life, not once was there a competition like this one. One in which I could express my aspirations to become a Film Director and  produce a score / remix of one of my favourite composers Hans Zimmer.
