The Tirumala Water Steps

The story goes that @M-PeX 's "iFado" album was the soundtrack of our roadtrip of the 2014 South African Garden Route, thanks to a tiny green flash drive handed to me by a friend. I think we ran through the album three times during the drive. A good time.

This melody was just me experimenting with multiple melodies and the feeling of crossing the beating sun in the desert. Multiple layers of thirst, flora and fauna.

This rhythm came to me while daydreaming with a guitar at Wild-Spirit Backpackers on the Saffer East Coast(you might still find the shell in the album art hanging there).  I wrote to M-PeX about our experience on the trip and how he was an essential part of it - how he "drove" with us through the winding, lush mountain roads that make up South Africa's East Coast Route. I shared the beat with him. He wrote back and sent me some of his really high quality Fado-guitar style playing.  

It was and is totally magical to me that his guitar is in this track.
