Zmar festival is a very special place for me. A music lovers paradise, a rock quarry hidden by the railroads, an unpretentious community vibe filled with beautiful campfires and delicious meals. Thank you very much for having me this year - this was the first stop of my EU/US/SA tour and my ears were treated. In this mix, I explore a lot of sounds for a sleepy early morning set, second to last to closing the festival and this chapter of life. Friends came by to have breakfast while I was playing and I watched the dancefloor slowly fill up. Love you all!

Ani Phoebe is the Hong Kong based DJ selector and co-founder and director of Bad Times Disco (HK), an independent platform focused on digging traditions, diverse & eclectic music, community building, and the intersection of mutual aid and music. 

She has developed her unique style through researching and digging out eclectic styles of production by underknown artists in the 80s and 90s. Drawing from cosmic synth, breaks, old school hip-hop, balearic choons, and wavy disco, she also leans towards the weird and oddball side of dance and electronic music. She’s performed at Atlas Electronic (MR), Nation of Gondwana (DE), Cosmic Gathering (DE), Good Room (NY), Motel Campo (CH), and contributed guest sets for Gop Tun (BR), Alter Disco (BR), CTW Podcasts (FR), Planet Trip (AU) and more. More often than not, she’s traveling, digging, and DJing, and it’s a lifestyle, not a one-off tour for this internationalist.
